Tunnels

I left the lonely mines,
I treaded hopelessly for miles.
Looking for a light in the tunnels
wondering where they end.
My feet exhausted with each
puff fighting to come out of my
irritated lungs.
Where is a lift to take up to land?
Punctuate my battle,
an exile on a new journey.
I hear echoes,
the dawn treader on voyage.
In perseverance I hold inside me,
the fire in my veins excelerates
in strength.
