This piece was inspired by Ariana Grande's song "In My Head." It's about creating a picture of someone in your head then falling for it and later realizing that who you fell for isn't actually who they are. I create images of people in my head just to later realize that the person I've had around me isn't who I wanted them to be.
Look at you, you're a
Perfect picture, maybe
Because I painted you
My imagination runs
Wild, this pain in my chest
Won't break us apart if we work
It out, I had a vision where I saw
Us happy but the issues we
Have hidden behind a red door
Where the truth is clear as day
My friends say it's all up in my
Head, I created it to let myself
Breathe instead of feeling the
Fear of you leaving me, it crept
Up on me like anxiety eating me
Up, to suffocate me, falling and
Falling because I thought you
Were the one.
