Avenues

My heart's full of avenues/white fence neighbourhoods smile. While I prefer the darker narrow ones. Downtown for a little romance/Russian roulette without a gun.
We spin while the arrow points to our next move. I take your hoodie feeling the smell of your dog at home/a sense of the future.
Under the same roof/fallen deeply in love.
Your name's scratches in the lines of my heart/sewn in the softest parts. Where the trees pump my oxygen and/your friends take it away and I can't tell what's real in the bittersweet symphony of it all.
