The Dance

I love the dance.
The transparency of my feelings.

Fluency of my steps, no one glides
perfectly throughout life unless they have flawless feet.

A body never making a mistake,
I feel a claw in my belly, a lion coming to ruin my routine with it's heaviness.

Its roar frightens me, my balance gets lost.

But what would I do without it,
To fuel the fire on my chest and down to my toes.

As my bones turn to ashes,
I feel ready to do anything for a shed of moonlight, wolves come to hunt for souls for Luna in her glory.

Where would I be without my lion mane?

My charm to protect me from their preying eyes, I bounce around the leaves without a sound.

That's what I was taught in Bohemia, gypsy land.
Where chaos is law and rules are forbidden.

Emotions are all that
fire and water
Mixed with the gravity in my spirit.

Holding them together.

The circle closing, amidst the fiery howling, passion drives me into a
lock where I'm lifted.

Light as a leaf above water,
Motivation is my dress in the forest's walls.

I love how it moves with the wind,
And how I move along,
I love the dance.
