Imagine . . . visiting Percy while he's away at school.
Based off my other book named Torn.
Note: you're Luke's age and significantly older than Percy.
You ran down the front lawn of a preppy school. You didn't know which one - Percy attends school here.
It was midnight and you were missing your best friend.
But you knew his dorm: B 45.
This school had terrible security - a cute puppy could sneak in undetected.
It was fall. With every stride, leaves crunched under your steps. The cold chilly air tingled your skin. Soon, you found yourself inside and found security cameras in every corner. You spent a couple of minutes looking at a school map that was plastered on the wall. You found it difficult to read at first because you're dyslexia was making it hard to read and the area was poorly lit
Percy chose an awful school to go to . . . what if there was some kidnapper? They wouldn't be able to stop them. You sprinted down a hallway, making a sharp turn to avoid a security guard.
You pressed herself against a door that thankfully happened to be Percy's.
As a daughter of Hermes, opening locks and breaking into locked rooms came easy to you. You pressed a hand against the knob, envisioning the lock inside your mind. You gave the knob a small jiggle and the lock slid out of place.
You crept inside only to see the glow of Riptide-- Percy's sword.
"Percy!" you whispered loudly, dodging a swing. "It's me! (y/n)!"
The lights flicked on to reveal a pant-less Percy.
"(y/n)?" Percy's legs were trembling. "What are you doing here? I thought you were a monster!" He clicked his sword back into a pen.
Yeah, you understood that when he tried to kill you. Had he really been that scared?
You pressed a hand against her mouth to keep yourself from laughing at Percy's underwear.
"Nice blue undies, Perce."
Percy looked down, his sea green eyes widening, but he placed his hands above his crotch. A blush rose to his face. "I wasn't expecting company!"
For a fourteen year old boy, his dorm was somewhat organized. You kept forgetting how much younger he was than you (like seven years).
You thought back to your brother Luke, who was off sailing on he east coast on his stolen yacht. You both shared the same scar running down both your faces. You both shared an empathy link. Whatever he felt, you did. Whatever you felt, he did. It was how you both kept contact or knew if the other was okay.
Luke was messy when he was fourteen. You was always picking up his dirty clothing from the floor around his bed.
Percy quickly chucked on a pair of jeans. "Why are you here?" He sat on the edge of his bed, rubbing the tiredness out of his eyes.
"I haven't seen you in two months," you said. "Can't I visit a friend?"
What you really needed was a friend at the moment. You missed your twin brother and with Kronos happening, you just needed some friendly comfort.
