Catalina held her phone against her ear, waiting for Roman to pick up. After a few rings, he did, he started with a sigh. "I can't talk for long." He answered.
"Why? Are you home? Did something happen?" Catalina questioned.
"I'm fine, I'm fine. I'm packing. I'll be skipping town for some time." Roman answered and Catalina choked.
"What? Where will you be going?" Catalina asked.
"I can't tell you that, even if I did know where I was going." Roman's voice echoed through the phone as Catalina looked over to Amara in the driver's seat, her face was serious.
"Well, when will I be able to see you again?" Catalina asked quietly.
Roman hesitated. "I don't have an answer for that either and I have to go."
Catalina nodded. "I hope this all blows over, Roman."
"I hope so too." He sighed once again. "Goodbye Catalina."
"Goodbye." She said before hanging up, her phone falling in her lap. The car had reached the Faustini penthouse.
"You know, it'll get better." Amara said softly to Catalina. Without a word, Catalina got up and left the vehicle.
Elena, who sat across from Donatello, jumped up upon seeing Catalina. "Hey, how are you?" She asked. Valentino and Reina noticed Catalina upon hearing Elena's voice.
"Oh, look whose home at-" Reina checked her watch, "-a quarter to nine!"
"Shut up, Grandma!" Catalina snapped before going upstairs. The room was silent, except for Donatello of course, who was typing away.
Amara jogged into the house, she stopped in front of the family to catch her breath. Shortly, she became irked by their puzzled expressions. "What?" She asked. The family shrugged and resumed what they were doing.
Letha remained on her phone, waiting for her father and brothers to come down for dinner. She glanced up at Leo, still holding a grudge as she sat at the far end of their dinner table. Leo sensing this, sat directly opposite them.
"Are we playing musical chairs?" Landon Laiture, their father asked, seeing Leo seated in his usual spot.
"I would prefer not to be with Letha right now, if you'd allow it." Leo looked down and spoke quietly.
"Save it, Leo." Letha made eye contact with their father. "Leo decided he thought it would be a good idea to humiliate me in front of the whole school with his girlfriend-"
"Girlfriend?" Landon looked down at Leo who paled, remaining silent.
"But that's not the only thing, how dare he do this? I am his sister. I don't deserve to be humiliated." Letha rambled away.
Landon exhaled sharply before sitting aside Leo. "I'll allow this for tonight. But as for this reckless idea of having a 'girlfriend'-" Landon used quote marks, "I shall not. You must rid yourself of such a burden."
Leo's younger brother Layton, who now sat opposite Landon because of their newly improved seating plan, turned to his father. "What is a girlfriend?" Layton asked.
"Nothing but a phase, my boy." Landon laughed, Letha smiled, but Leo remained quiet.
Later that night, Elena slowly approached Catalina's door. She was about to knock, but her phone went off, the shock of it causing her to jump back. She tried again but it chimed again causing her to give in and check it.
