Sebastian ranted as he paced down the streets of New York, Elena rushed to keep up with him. "I mean if anyone's putting anyone in danger, it's Roman. I don't fight fifteen year olds, so I don't know why he's so defensive." Sebastian grumbled.
"You do fight nineteen year olds, though." Elena countered.
Sebastian stopped abruptly. "That's different, I didn't initiate that. For what it's worth, I like Leo more than Roman." Sebastian took a deep breath and finished his ranting. "So, where's Rita?"
"She went to see Mr Laiture." Elena informed. "I guess you're not the only one that has business with him, huh? Anyways, once they're done there, they're coming home, but I'm not sure if Roman will still be there when they do."
"Fine then, why don't you show me the message that was left for you?" Sebastian suggested.
Elena retrieved her phone to show Sebastian a picture of the message in question. "This was on the wall after Stefano arrived. We don't know if Stefano's behind it or if the phones are tapped. We don't know anything." Elena began to panic.
"Elena, don't worry." He looked away from the photo, he cupped his hands around her cheeks, tilting her head upwards to face his. "Whoever this coward is, he's not going to hurt you, not when you're with me. I need you to know this."
After a deep breath, Elena nodded and moved away from his hands. "Right."
"You can stay with me tonight if you have any further doubts." Sebastian cleared his throat. "Is the message still at the apartment? It'd be good to see it in person as well."
"It should be." Elena answered confidently. "I'll lead the way."
Lorenzo raised his head to the sound of Dina and Valentino arguing as they entered the house. "I'm just saying that maybe if you would have listened to me and refused to associate with him-" Dina was shortly interrupted by Valentino.
"Oh my God!" Valentino yelled as he threw his arms in the air. "Dina with her all-seeing eye- don't act like this isn't about your past with Diego."
Dina gasped in horror. "You know that isn't the case!"
Valentino, now distracted from Dina, looked around the living room. "Where is everyone?"
Lorenzo sighed. "Let's see, Roman denied Sebastian and Elena entry and then proceeded to leave fifteen minutes after with Catalina. Amara's out with the kids and Donatello is out somewhere cursing the world."
Dina put on a mocking tone. "Duh- I'm Valentino, family is everything- what do you mean I actually have to keep an eye on them?"
"Shut up, Dina." Valentino snapped. "I'm sorry I tried to be kind to Diego- I'm sorry I'm such a nice person and that my warmheartedness backfired. I can't help the fact that he had little to no friends and I felt sorry for him."
Lorenzo looked baffled by the fact that they were talking about Diego as if he were a child. "...He's in his mid thirties."
Dina turned around to Valentino, pointing her thumb back at Lorenzo. "He's got a point."
"What do you want from me, Dina?" Valentino gave up.
"Nothing, in fact I have a proposal." Dina peered back at Lorenzo. "And it's seemingly perfectly timed considering all of you are home. Let's have a get-together at my house tomorrow. Bring all eleven of your children and I'll bring mine."
"There's only eight of us." Lorenzo corrected.
"Close enough." Dina quickly suspended Lorenzo interjected. "You can bring Colette and her daughter too. Bring Stefano too."
