Amara made her way back inside the party and met up with Catalina and Roman, she casually slid herself into their discussion. Roman was tugging at the silk sheet suspended from the ceiling. "Boy, Catalina, you could do your aerobics from these." He laughed as Catalina giggled along with them.
"So, are you guys dating?" Amara broke the ice and Roman and Catalina began to stammer.
"We- we're not sure." Roman cleared his throat. "You know, I have a lot going on with my family right now and all that stuff..." Roman seemed deflated.
"Oh, well, sometimes relationships can help you out of that stuff." Amara suggested, Roman and Catalina starting to regain their cheeriness. "And if you would've got her pregnant, I would've killed you." Amara joked as the two laughed.
"What do you think they're talking about?" Claudio asked intently as he and Valentino watched from afar.
"I don't know and I don't care." Valentino looked down at his phone, rereading his messages from Elena detailing her trip home. "I can't believe Elena would do something like this, I mean I haven't met this man, what if he's a serial killer?"
"Then he'll fit right in." Claudio laughed in good will, but nonetheless failing to calm Valentino.
Elena entered the Faustini penthouse with Leo following intently. She turned on the light and saw Sebastian waiting on the couch. "Dante seemed pretty upset at the party, rambling on about the end of the world and you, Elena, along with toothpick here." Sebastian uttered. "Provided I didn't plan for the two of you to arrive home so early."
"This is my family's house, not yours, don't act so territorial." Elena sassed.
"Then by that logic, he needs to leave too." Sebastian stood up. "But nonetheless I'm glad he's here. It finally puts an end to the question of who keeps sending the pricey gifts."
"You could've found out if you wanted to. Besides, I was going to introduce him when we got home." Elena nuzzled Leo's shoulder.
"Elena I'm not here to fight you I'm just here to tell you that if you care about your sister, show her you're there, don't sneak about getting involved when you can be invited in." Sebastian lectured. "As for you... Well, you're not Claudio."
"What does Claudio have to do with this?" She wondered.
"Ask your sister." Sebastian answered cryptically.
Back at the party, Valentino remained annoyed by Elena's absence, the party was coming to an end and he wanted to be the first rat off the ship. "Say goodbye to your friends." Valentino told Catalina as he rounded up the rest of his children.
Once he arrived at home, Valentino found Sebastian inside waiting for them. Sebastian got up and went over to Amara. "I managed to find one thing on Claudio, he DUI he somehow managed to obtain on a Vespa. Other than that, he's clean." He spoke quietly as he saw Valentino walking over to them.
"Did you see Elena come in?" Valentino asked him.
"Yeah, she's asleep, she brought the mystery man too. Take a guess, the answer will shock you." Sebastian joked as Amara laughed, Valentino on the other hand was outraged and she saw this.
"Let me talk to her." Amara said before walking upstairs to Elena's room, giving neither of them a chance to object.
She knocked on Elena's door before entering, she turned on the lights causing Elena to arise from her slumber. She was greeted by Elena's usual decor, her oversized mirror and closet, her desk littered with numerous dress sketches and a bookshelf that was home to fashion magazines. "Hey, can we talk?" Amara asked.
