~ 2 years later ~

Go Eun awoke as the alarm on her night stand sounded off. Reaching over she quickly hit the snooze button and stuffed her face into her pillow. Unfortunately, her living alarm was going off as well. Go Eun raised her head to gaze over at the snoring mass of a man that lay next to her, his chest rose and sunk slowly as deep, sleepy whistles escaped his mouth. Looking at his sleeping figure, Go Eun smiled to herself, and brought her foot up to kick him square in the side, sending Jun Hoe flying off the bed.

"I BOUGHT YOU THOSE NASAL STRIPS FOR A REASON HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO SLEEP IN PEACE WHEN I'VE GOT SOME MOUTAIN MAN SNORING IN MY EAR!" Go Eun jumped off the bed, crouching down next to the startled man, who lay on his stomach, limbs jumbled in a mess from his fall. "I'M GONNA START SHOVING COTTON BALLS UP YOUR NOSE, YOU BRUTE!" With a final flick to the forehead, Go Eun stood and made her way to the bathroom to begin getting ready for the day.

Jun Hoe, still shocked and mentally coping with his sudden awakening continued to lie on the floor, eyes wide, and staring at the ceiling. Only when he heard the bathroom door open again did he turn to look up at Go Eun.

"The sticky stuff hurts my nose." He mumbled, receiving a scoff in reply and a wet towel to the face as Go Eun pulled on a t-shirt and jeans. "Is this how it's going to be every morning?" He asked as he pulled himself up to sit leaning against the bed.

"I will continue to kick you onto the floor until the day my alarm goes off and it's the only item in the room making more than 60 decibels of noise." Go Eun said plainly, pulling half her hair up into a bun. Jun Hoe lifted himself from the floor and made his way behind Go Eun, wrapping his arms around her waist and tucking his face into the hollow of her neck.

"What if..." he murmured quietly, placing a gentle kiss on her shoulder. "What if I bought you a nice pair of ear plugs?" Jun Hoe laughed as Go Eun shrugged him off, the bitter look in her eyes melting to slight amusement as he laid down chuckling to himself. Go Eun shook her head, hiding her smile as she walked over and placed a peck on his cheek.

"Whatever, just as long as I don't have to hear it! I'm going now, I'll be back after my shift. Remember to lock up when you go." Go Eun waved, shutting the bedroom door, grabbing her purse, and leaving her apartment.

Jun Hoe remained, tucking himself back into the warm confines of his girlfriend's bed, a scheming smile stuck on his face as he returned to a blissful slumber.

~12 hours later, 7:00 p.m.~

Go Eun walked out of the hosptial, finally relieved to have the decent-hour shift, being able to go home before the sun rose the next day was nice, especially when you had a Jun Hoe at home. Go Eun could remember during her internship in college how he would whine and pout when she worked overnight shifts and would roll into bed between the hours of 4 and 8 in the morning. Now in her second year of residency, she was granted less overnight shifts and more daytime shifts, and a happier Jun Hoe to return to.

Go Eun walked along the sidewalk towards the parking garage, breathing in the cool, evening air as she went. Fall had begun to set in, the cool wind blew dead leaves across the sidewalk in front of her while she tucked her hands into the pockets of her coat. Go Eun pulled out her keys, pressing the unlock button to begin her search for her vehicle. The flashing lights signaled to her from the right and as Go Eun turned to reach the drivers side she ran into Jun Hoe, who was leaning against the side of her car.

"Oh! What are you doing here?" She questioned, surprise painting her face. Jun Hoe smiled and pulled Go Eun into a hug.

"I thought we'd be able to go on a date - nothing too much, I know your probably tired from work, but I thought we could go for a picnic in the park across from my apartment. How's that sound?" The nod of Go Eun's head against his chest gave him the go ahead and Jun Hoe smiled giddily. Jun Hoe lead Go Eun to the passenger side and buckled her in before sitting in the driver's seat and pulling the car out.

The drive wasn't too bad, having avoided the five o'clock rush, and soon they were parked in Jun Hoe's apartment parking and walking across the road to the park. Jun Hoe and Go Eun walked hand in hand to a spot in the park that Jun Hoe had set up prior to getting Go Eun. A soft blanket was lain on the grass, a small spread of Go Eun's favorite dishes decorated it.

"This looks so nice!" Go Eun said cheerfully, her tired eyes awakening with a happy light at the sight of food. She sat down and the two quickly began to devour the meal. When they were finished, Go Eun laid down, her head resting on Jun Hoe's thigh as he ran his finger through her hair. The sound of traffic passing by filled the air as the two of them sat under the lights of the park.

"This is nice, I'm glad you decided to do this." Go Eun said, her eyes closed as the post-meal sleepiness began to set in.

"I'm happy you enjoyed it... but, there is one other thing for us to do tonight." Jun Hoe replied, he gazed down at her peaceful face as she hummed in response. From his pocket, Jun Hoe produced a small black box and opened it to reveal a beautiful teardrop diamond ring. He lifted Go Eun's left hand and placed the ring on her finger where it shown in the light. He leaned down to speak in Go Eun's ear.

"Marry me?"

Go Eun's eyes remained shut as she intertwined her hand with Jun Hoe's. "Well, since you asked so nicely... Yes." Go Eun snuggled closer to Jun Hoe before falling asleep, her lips still curved into a smile.

The next morning, Go Eun's alarm sounded off and harmonized with the snores of the man next to her. As she shut it off, she sighed heavily and lifted her hand to smack Jun Hoe in the back when her eye caught the glimmer of the diamond ring that rested on her ring finger. Go Eun smiled to herself remembering the proposal through a sleepy haze. Her eyes moved to Jun Hoe, who continued to snore next to her, and would do so for the rest of her life, until she smacked him in the chest and he jolted upwards into a sitting position.

"I'm just confirming since I was practically asleep when you asked but..." Go Eun pressed a kiss to his cheek and smiled at his startled expression,

"Yes, I will marry you."
