Was

The group was silent as Han Bin hide Jin Seo away from Chan Woo. No one knew what to say, even Yoon Hyung remained frozen. The shock of Han Bin getting physical threw everyone for a loop, he was the most passive of them all. Han Bin came to his senses when he felt sharp nails digging into the skin of his arm. He turned around to see Jin Seo clawing at him, tears streaming down her face and a furious look in her eyes.  

"Let me go." Jin Seo felt Han Bin loosen his grip on her and shook him off. She pushed him to the side as she ran over to where Chan Woo stood. Han Bin's shoulders slumped as she passed by him. Jin Seo examined Chan Woo's face, gently brushing her hand against his red cheek. She lightly turned his head so he would look at her and checked over the rest of him. "It must hurt. It's going to swell and bruise soon... You're okay? Are you sure? Should I go get a doctor, in case?" Jin Seo's voice was on the edge of panic but she did her best to keep in under control. It's embarrassing to breakdown in an emergency room, so it would have to wait for the privacy of home. 

Chan Woo nodded and quietly whispered, "I'm okay." Jin Seo sighed, her arms fell from his face to his shoulders and she buried her head in his chest as more tears fell from her eyes. Her body shook with sobs. Chan Woo held her close to him, he rested his gaze on her small frame. 

He was fuming on the inside. He wanted nothing more than to tell Han Bin off, to hit him back, to give him equal amounts of physical pain as the emotional pain he put Jin Seo through, but he didn't. Chan Woo stood there, his face aching and his heart beating with pure rage, and he held his upset girlfriend in his arms, hiding her away from unwelcome, prying eyes. 

"I-I don't know why I did that..." Han Bin muttered under his breath. His breathe was ragged from the restraint he was holding over his emotions. He stood up straight and turned to look at Chan Woo and Jin Seo. He felt the familiar sting of tears in his eyes as he watched Jin Seo clutch onto Chan Woo, but he refused to let them fall. "I don't know..." Han Bin began again, a little louder this time for everyone to hear, but he was cut off.

"It doesn't matter if you know or not. Just quit. Stop whatever it is." Jin Seo turned towards Han Bin, removing herself from Chan Woo's hold. "I was yours. Was. I'm not yours anymore... Honestly, looking back, I don't think I ever was. So, do me a favor, don't come to me when I've finally become happy and figured things out in my life and think that you have some claim to take me back. Figure it out for yourself, Han Bin, because I won't be apart of any of that nonsense anymore." 

Jin Seo turned back to Chan Woo, her hand weaving into his as she looked up at him with a soft smile on her face. "Let's get you discharged and then go home." Together, they disappeared into the crowd of the emergency room, leaving behind a shocked group of friends and Han Bin who stood as still as a statue, except for the single tear that traced it's way down his cheek. 

"I think we should be going, too." Go Eun stated, breaking the silence. She turned to Jun Hoe, patting him on the shoulder. "You're alright so we should have no problem getting out of here." Go Eun had a nervous smile plastered on her face, when she saw Jun Hoe begin pouting she broke into laughter. 

"Why are you laughing?! How do you know I'm alright? I could be very seriously injured and we might not even know!" Jun Hoe complained as he stood and draped his arm across Go Eun's shoulders. Go Eun continued to laugh until Jun Hoe leaned his weight onto her and she had to focus on staying standing.

"Hey!" Go Eun pinched Jun Hoe in the side, "Knock it off." She wrapped her arm around his waist, the smile remaining on her face as she turned to address her friends. "Alright, we're leaving! It's a bummer that this was the reason we all got together, next time let's plan on dinner." Jun Hoe laughed as Go Eun began steering them towards the nurses station.

The two joined Jin Seo and Chan Woo who were just finishing up the paperwork. Go Eun handed Jin Seo the keys to her car, "You guys can go get the car started, we should be down shortly." 

"Thank you, Go Eun." Jin Seo smiled. Chan Woo signed the final paper and handed back the clipboard to the nurse.

"Alright, let's get out of here, I'm tired." He smiled down at Jin Seo, taking her hand back into his, he began to head for the exit. He waved back to Go Eun and Jun Hoe, before disappearing around the corner with Jin Seo.

"Honestly... I don't know why Han Bin would ever have even tried a stunt like that. One look and you can tell that nothing will separate those two. They may not have said it yet, but they are totally in love." Go Eun smiled, leaning against the counter as she stared after them. Jun Hoe chuckled beside her.

"Yeah, now it's just gonna be interesting to see who beats who to proposing." Jun Hoe continued to go over the paperwork, oblivious to the slack-jawed Go Eun next to him.

"Excuse me... What?" Go Eun grabbed the pen away from him, bringing his attention towards her. Jun Hoe laughed again at the incredulous look on Go Eun's face.

"Oh, don't worry about it right now, it's only been a day, if even that. Just know that one day it'll happen. I'll make you my wife someday, Go Eun, that's for certain." Jun Hoe leaned over and kissed Go Eun on the forehead, snatching the pen away from her and finishing off the paperwork with a few quick signatures. 

Jun Hoe tugged Go Eun close to him, his arm wrapped around her waist, and snuck a quick peck before leading her to the exit. "You know, if you keep looking like that your face will freeze that way forever, and then our kids are gonna ask me why mommy always looks so shocked." Go Eun slapped Jun Hoe's chest. Her face falling from shocked to annoyed as Jun Hoe's laughter echoed in the hallways of the hospital.

I'm so sorry I suck! My final semester of college has been really busy, but I just finished midterms and am done with a couple of online classes so I will now be able to bring more of my attention back to this story! Thank you for understanding! :)
