Flash Forward...

Jin Seo walked up to the entrance of the restaurant where Go Eun stood waiting. The two women greeted each other with a smile and a hug before entering the restaurant. They sat across from each other at the otherwise empty table for ten. It had been almost two years since it had been possible for everyone to get together so the girls in the group decided to set a date and invite everyone to dinner. 

Han Bin and Ji Won accepted the invitation that Jin Seo and Go Eun had sent each of them. Now in their later twenties the girls were ready to move on from the hurtful events that littered their past with them, they had better things to look forward to rather than always looking back.

The rest of their group slowly began to file into the restaurant, Jin Hwan and Soo Hyun, looked tired as usual, they had just had their third child and were in search of a much needed break. Yoon Hyung and Dong Hyuk showed up together, Dong Hyuk was currently staying with Yoon Hyung and his family while he worked on a project in Busan. Yoon Hyung had gotten married the year before, his wife had opted to stay home with their baby and their pets. 

Chan Woo arrived and sat next to Jin Seo, immediately taking her hand into his. She knew he was still a little stressed about being in the same place with her as Han Bin, it had been a long time since those two had fought in the hospital but some things you can never forget. Not when one of your best friends still tries to claim your girlfriend as his.

Jun Hoe was the last to show up, he had a trial today and had to take care of stuff at the office afterwards. He took the chair next to Go Eun and rested his arm across the back of hers while everyone was catching up. Jin Seo and Yoon Hyung gushed about the kids they worked with while Go Eun lectured Dong Hyuk about the medical drama he starred in being completely inaccurate. Jun Hoe, Han Bin, and Ji Won chatted about work, Ji Won's career as a twitch streamer was continuing successfully, he was one of the most watched streamers on the site and was considering adding YouTube as a platform. 

Chan Woo questioned Jin Hwan and Soo Hyun about what life was like with kids, he did his best to keep his voice low hoping to keep his curiosity from Jin Seo as he hadn't yet admitted to her yet that the idea of kids was starting to appeal to him. He really loved the way she talked about the kids in her therapy program and the happiness she exuded when was with them was something he wished to have at home with their own kids, as well. 

The table was alive with chatter from everyone, hardly going quiet, even when the food arrived. The time spent apart just meant that they would need more time together to catch up. When the dishes had been cleared this didn't stop them from reminiscing. 

"Actually... I have an announcement to make." Go Eun cleared her throat and silenced the table. She smiled as she grabbed Jun Hoe's hand and intertwined their fingers. "I'm pregnant." A look of shock swept across Jun Hoe's face as everyone at the table gasped, and then a huge smile broke the terrified look of the expecting father. Jun Hoe stood and wrapped his arms around Go Eun as he laughed, he was speaking so quickly and excitedly that his words came across as only gibberish to everyone at the table. 

It was then that the evening took a turn for the worse.

"You're joking right." Came from the other end of the table. Ji Won stood, his face contorted into a mixture of sadness and anger. "You've got to be actually kidding me! You're having a kid with him!" 

Everyone fell silent. This outburst was the last thing that anyone expected.

"No... I'm not joking. Of course I am having a baby with my husband! What is your problem?" Go Eun raised her voice towards Ji Won.

"This is great. You know, I thought I would be able to really get past this, I mean I've been faking it pretty well all these years. I thought you guys getting married is what would really break the camels back, but even then, I must look like a real fool for thinking that it wouldn't last, even if you did have a ring on your finger and a lousy certificate at home saying you two were forever." Ji Won's voice was steadily getting louder and louder.
