Go Eun marched inside and grabbed Ji Won to drive them back to her apartment since he hadn't been drinking that night. She sat in the back with Jin Seo as her friend continued to cry on her shoulder, the sobs getting quieter and quieter as Jin Seo wore herself out. When they arrived at Go Eun's apartment she helped Jin Seo into the guest room and tucked her into the bed. Ji Won looked on awkwardly from the doorway, it was weird for him seeing Jin Seo this way, he was friends with her, of course, and they were around each other quite a bit since his girlfriend was her best friend and her boyfriend was his best friend. She always seemed like the kind of girl where nothing could get her down.
Go Eun wiped the makeup off Jin Seo's face and patted her shoulder. "I'll be back. Don't move, just rest." Go Eun stood up, shutting the light off as she exited the room and turned to Ji Won. "Take me to Kim Han Bin."
Ji Won had never seen such anger in Go Eun's eyes before. He nodded and followed behind her to the car. The ride over there was silent. Go Eun sat in the passenger seat seething and going over just how loudly she would be telling Han Bin off while Ji Won drove, glancing over in her direction trying to gauge exactly how pissed off she was.
When they pulled up in front of Han Bin's house, Go Eun marched up to his front door and pounded on it. Ji Won stood timidly behind her... This was going to be awkward for him, he didn't know how he was supposed to react to a face off between his girlfriend and his best friend.
On the other side of the door Han Bin could guess who's angry knock it was on his door. He sighed and got up from his couch, preparing himself for the shouting that was about to begin. He opened the door to see Go Eun practically frothing at the mouth and Ji Won standing behind her with an awkward look on his face. Ji Won gave a timid wave and half-hearted smiled as Go Eun took a deep breath.
"I'm here to get Jin Seo's stuff. She doesn't have a lot so this shouldn't take long." She pushed past Han Bin into the house and went immediately to the bedroom. She found Jin Seo's luggage and began pulling clothes from the closet and dresser, throwing them in haphazardly. Ji Won stood awkwardly in the living room with Han Bin, who just looked annoyed.
Go Eun brought out a suitcase and handed it to Ji Won. "Please go put this in the car, there's just another suitcase and the stuff in the bathroom." Ji Won nodded and scurried out the front door while Go Eun turned her burning gaze on Han Bin. "Look here, Dust Bin." She growled, curling her hands into fists as she got into his face.
"I don't know what fucking right you think you had to say any of that stuff to Jin Seo, I can't even fathom the extent of what you said to make her cry so hard, but I do know the outline. How fucking dare you even consider her to be childish! I have watched her for the past 2 and a half years take care of you, buy things for you, and love you and the only child in that relationship was you. She always put your happiness before hers, when she wasn't having a good day, when her insecurities got to her, when she was on the verge of tears the only reason it didn't show is because she was busy making sure you were happy, and that's the least childish thing in this world. You are so selfish! She put up with your insults, your shitty character, and your apathetic attitude towards her because she fucking loved you, asshole! Just because you don't care about anything doesn't mean she doesn't either! The irresponsibility you claim she is so full of is just her making sure she doesn't disappoint you. Do you know how many times she came to me with tears in her eyes because she had been practicing cooking but just couldn't get it right. She was so upset that the only thing she seemed to be capable of making was ramen, but she refused to give you anything that she didn't deem acceptable, so yeah... You ate a lot of fucking ramen. I watched as the life drained out of her trying to make you happy, she's been running on fumes for who knows how long... 'as long as he loves me it's alright' she would say. 'As long as he is happy I am happy' she would say. So how dare you say that someone who deflated themselves to make the world spin for you is childish and irresponsible."
"I never asked her to do any of that..." Han Bin muttered, he looked down at the ground. Go Eun's words like daggers slicing into his skin.
"When you love someone, you don't wait for them to fucking ask, and when someone fucking loves you, you don't let them kill themselves over trying to outshine the sun in front of you. You're a selfish, emotionally unavailable, and narcissistic pigeon-head, Kim Han Bin, and you will never find someone who will love you as much as Jin Seo did" Go Eun began to laugh, "But maybe this is for the best. Now she'll be able to find someone who will love her as equally as she loves them. In fact, I know just the boy who's looked at her the way she's looked at you the past two and a half years. I'm sure he'll finally get his shot. I just wish I could go back to the day we met you and warn her about the trash bin we would be encountering that day and steer her towards Chan Woo a little more." Go Eun backed away from Han Bin and stormed off toward the bedroom to keep packing.
Ji won walked back into the house, he had heard some of the shouting from outside and had waited for Go Eun to leave the room before coming back in. He walked over to Han Bin.
"Did you really say that stuff to Jin Seo?" He asked quietly. Han Bin took a deep breath and looked away from Ji Won, answering his friends question without uttering a word. Ji Won nodded and stood there in the silence that surrounded them. Occasionally hearing Go Eun's cursing grow a little louder as she moved about. Go Eun finally exited the bedroom with the suitcases, passing one off to Ji Won.
"Let's go." As they began to exit the house, Go Eun stopped and turned one final time. "Don't even think about contacting Jin Seo. If I ever see you near her I will personally make sure you are unable to have relations with another girl in this lifetime, and then I'll come back in the next and do the same!" Go Eun slammed the door behind her, leaving a speechless Han Bin alone in his living room, reflecting on what she had said.
