Christmas Break

It had come as a shock to the girls and Chan Woo when they had walked into their only shared class of their first college semester and found Jun Hoe sitting in the back row. Apparently Jun Hoe had decided it was time for him to go back to school so he would be able to move up in his work place. For the two years he had been out of high school he had worked as a legal assistant for his father's friend's law firm. His parent's had begged him to go to college for law so he would be able to move into a higher position, even his dad's friend insisted he would have a job waiting for him when he finished school. Of course, Jun Hoe hadn't been interested and was fine keeping his simple position at the firm. That's why, when college admission time came around, and Dong Hyuk found an admission application to Korea University on Jun Hoe's dining table, Jun Hoe had to come clean as to why he had suddenly changed his mind.

~ Earlier that year ~

Dong Hyuk had come over to Jun Hoe's house to hang out and play some video games. Since his classes had gotten out earlier than expected that day he had beaten Jun Hoe to his house but let himself in knowing he wouldn't mind. Dong Hyuk, while the more responsible of the two 21-year-olds, was still a 21-year-old boy, and immediately ran to the kitchen in search of food. He warmed up some leftover pizza he spotted in the fridge and sat down at the table. He had to admit, playing games at Ji Won's house was fun because he had some cool set ups, what being a famous Twitch streamer and all, but at least Jun Hoe's house had a dining table. Dong Hyuk cleared some papers from the spot he had chosen when he noticed a familiar crest in the top corner of one. He pulled it out from under his plate and scanned over the college application that held Jun Hoe's information. His eyes widened... He had been asking Jun Hoe about college ever since he applied and that asshole had said it was a waste of his time and money to go through more school he wouldn't care about! Dong Hyuk's head whipped towards the door when he heard it unlock and Jun Hoe enter.

"Dude! What the fuck? You applied to college without telling me!" Dong Hyuk held up the application, waving it over his head. Jun Hoe's eyes widened and he sprinted over to grab it from him. However, Jun Hoe while being larger than Dong Hyuk, he wasn't as quick. Dong Hyuk dodged past him and jumped over the couch into the living room. "Come one! Tell me why your applying now!" He smiled.

Jun Hoe had a nervous look on his face... Dong Hyuk was his best friend and would know if he was lying about why he had decided to go to college all of a sudden. He just didn't know how to tell him that it was because of Go Eun. She had told him a couple of weeks ago how smart she thought he was, how if he went to college he could become some cool, hotshot lawyer, how fun it would be if they went to college together... Jun Hoe shook his head as he thought about it. Maybe he was crazy for doing this because of some girl... but Go Eun wasn't just some girl to him.

"I... I want to become that cool, hotshot lawyer Go Eun was talking about. Plus, it means more money for when I get back to my job. My parent's are excited and helping me pay for it." Jun Hoe mumbled, rubbing the back of his neck. Dong Hyuk smiled.

"Oh man, I've been telling you all that for the past two years. What did Go Eun say that I didn't?!" He laughed until he realized something. Dong Hyuk wasn't blind, and working in theatre meant he was around a lot of romance. He saw how Jun Hoe had first looked at Go Eun... How he acted so tense around her after Ji Won started dating her... How he awkwardly kept his distance while still trying to be friendly. "Oh my God... Do you... Do you like Go Eun?" He asked cautiously. Jun Hoe looked away, his cheeks bright red.

"I mean... I... Well... Yeah, yeah I do..." He looked back at Dong Hyuk, an awkward look plastered on his face. "But she's with Ji Won, so I figured this would be something better to focus on!" He snatched the application back from Dong Hyuk before running into his room.

Dong Hyuk stood there in disbelief... Shit... This could cause some problems... He thought.

~ Christmas Break ~

Jin Seo, Go Eun, Chan Woo, and Jun Hoe sat in the girls' dorm room drinking hot chocolate and laughing about Jun Hoe's embarrassing high school presentation story. They had all finished their finals for their first semester and decided to celebrate together with hot drinks and a friendly atmosphere. It was Thursday, luckily they none of them had any finals the next day, thus a thought popped into Jin Seo's head.

"Hey! Since none of us have any finals tomorrow why don't we do a movie night! We can each pick a movie and stay up late watching them all!" If the idea didn't win anyone over it was her smile that did, when she flashed it no one ever said no. The boys and Go Eun nodded their heads excitedly.

"That's perfect! I swear if you pick a horror movie Jin Seo, I'll smack you into next semester!" Go Eun threated from across the room. Jin Seo giggled!

"Oh come on! Don't you know horror movies are the best for cuddling!" Go Eun raised an eyebrow in confusion, and the two boys looked at each other with red ears and confused faces, "We can ask Han Bin if we can do it over at his house and invite Ji Won too!" Neither girl noticed the looks of disappointment that crossed both Jun Hoe and Chan Woo's face as they smiled widely thinking about their boyfriends. Jun Hoe and Chan Woo stood up, placing their mugs on Go Eun's desk.

"Well, just let us know where it's at and if we need to bring anything! I think we are going to go, I just remembered I told Dong Hyuk and Yoon Hyung that we would grab something to eat with them! We will see you tonight!" Chan Woo said quickly while he and Jun Hoe gathered their things. They left in somewhat of a rush, they loved the girls dearly and it hurt them to hang around while they talked about their boyfriends, even if their boyfriends were also some of their best friends.

Jin Seo and Go Eun stared after them for a confused minute, waving as they closed the door. Being smart girls it didn't go unnoticed by them that those two always left relatively quickly when Han Bin or Ji Won got brought up. They chose to ignore it, hoping it wasn't anything serious, and figured if it was it would come up eventually. It wasn't unlike either girl to ignore something until it was truly a problem.  Jin Seo pulled out her phone and dialed in Han Bin's number, she threw it on speaker as it began to ring.

"Hello?" Han Bin answered on the third ring.

"Hey! How's work? Go Eun and I were wondering, since Chan Woo, Jun Hoe, and us don't have any finals tomorrow, would we be able to have a movie night at your house? There's more space there and you're invited, of course!" Jin Seo rapid fired at Han Bin, she was a quick talker so it was lucky that Han Bin was a good listener.

He chuckled on the other side, "Yeah, that would be fine. Tomorrow is my day off anyway. Why don't you come over a little earlier than the others and help me set up?" His voice had a devilish tone to it.

Jin Seo giggled and agreed before ending the call. Go Eun gave her some side-eye from her bed.

"What?" Jin Seo said.

"What are you guys going to do when we aren't there, hmmm?" She smiled.

Jin Seo threw a pillow at her, "Oh stop that! We haven't done anything that far! He's a good guy and I think he wants to wait too..." Jin Seo smiled. "We aren't like you and Ji Won!"

"Hey! We haven't done anything either! The most it's gotten to is sleeping in the same bed, same as you!" She stuck her tongue out, "Why don't we dress up a little for tonight! I want to look cute while I hide behind Ji Won because of your dumb scary movie!"
