Chapter Four- Gargoyle Attack

Cally's POV

I arrived at class the next day and Sheriff Minetta was there talking about Archie.

"Archie is a murderer. And we know he didn't escape alone, he had help. Hiding a convict or withholding information from the law is a felony offence. Whoever helped him is as much as a criminal as he is"

He looked at Reggie.

"I was busy all day Sheriff. You can check my browser history, if you know what I mean" Reggie said.

A few people laughed.

"I don't even know this Archie person. And on Mondays I host a group for teen farmies. We are still accepting members" Evelyn said.

Betty and I rolled our eyes.

"And where was you Miss McCoy at the time of the break out?" The Sheriff asked.

"Don't look at me sir, I was- uh" She stuttered.

I jumped in, knowing she was a bad liar.

"Josie was with us. Me, Veronica and Betty. She was showing us some songs she's been practicing for La Bonne Nuit" I said.

"Is that so?" He asked, looking at the row me, Veronica and Betty were sat on.

"Yes. I own the place, Sheriff. I can pull up CCTV if you'd like" Veronica said.

"Is that right Miss McCoy?" He went back to Josie.

"Y-yes"

"I'll be looking into all of your alibis. And if I find out later that you were involved, you can say goodbye to this school, your hopes and dreams, your music, your entire future," he leant on Josie's desk, staring at her, "all of it goes away, just like that. So again, to be clear, if you know anything nows the time to-"

Cheryl jumped up.

"Sheriff Minetta back off!" She ran to Josie.

Josie had a seizure and passed out.

Everyone was sent out of class while they helped Josie. She was eventually taken to hospital.

Betty made a plan to confront all the parents. I didn't end up going with her as it was mine and Kevin's turn to stay with Archie.

I grabbed some Pops take out and met Kevin at the bunker. We all sat around and ate, chatting. Archie sat up and winced in pain.

"Archie you haven't eaten anything" Kevin said.

"To be honest I'm not feeling so hot right now, Kevin"

"Let me check your bandage" I said.

Archie pulled up his shirt and I peeled away the bandage.

"Archie.." I said.

"That is definitely infected" Kevin said.

"Great" Archie said.

"I'll call Betty and we can see Dr Curdle. If you pay him enough money there's no record you ever stepping foot into his office. Nobody will know" I said.

We got Archie into Kevin's car and I sent Veronica a quick text so she knows what's happening.

Me and Kev are taking Archie to a Dr, his wound doesn't look too great. We will be quick and be sure no one sees us -C

We arrived at Dr Curdle's and he stitched Archie up.
