Previously on Lost Souls... Cally paid Hal a visit because she was sick of him brainwashing Betty and Cally threatened Hal.
There then was a prison bus crash and Betty and Cally feared that their dad was on the loose but Dr Curdle Jr confirmed that Hal was dead.
Betty, Jughead and Cally formed a plan to trap the Gargoyle King at prom but once Betty was announced as prom queen she was no where to be found..
Cally's POV
We realised it had been about 5 to 10 minutes before anyone last saw Betty and we were scared as to how much could happen in those few minutes.
Me and Jughead left Archie, Veronica and Reggie in the auditorium in case Betty came back and we went to search for her.
"You take the hall, the lounge and the auditorium and I'll go to the locker room, the girls bathroom and the classrooms" I said to Jughead, as we went our separate ways.
I ran in the girls bathroom first and I was shocked at what I saw.

I spotted two chalices by the sink, just like what my mom saw all those years ago.
I worried that Betty might have drank from the chalices thinking it would win the King's trust.

They were both full.
Thank god, I thought.
But then my heart started to race.

I frantically ran down the hall, into one of the classrooms.
The desks were all tipped over, like someone had been running away or fighting.
I kicked something as I was walking, and I turned, to see a dead body on the floor.
