Chapter Five- The Sisters

Cally's POV

Of all the things my mom has done.. this is the worst.

Why the hell does she think sending us away will solve anything?

I can't think for the life of me where she's sent Betty.

But I'm not going to England. Not a chance.

It's not that I don't want to.. I'd love to visit my friends. But now is not the time.

We started driving towards centerville airport. The guys got me out of the car and told me to stay put while they went inside to grab my tickets.

This was my only opportunity. I spun around and made a run for it. Riverdale was about a 20 minute drive away from Centerville airport so I knew I'd be running for awhile. I took to the woods so that the guys wouldn't be able to follow me down the roads.

I just ran north, knowing that Riverdale was north.

10 minutes later and I was out of breath. I came out of the woods and I passed the Riverdale sign, so I knew I was at sweetwater river.

There's a shortcut from the river to my house. Through fox forest, take a left rather than the usual right.

I ran up elm street and to our front door.

I tried the handle and it was locked, meaning my mom had already left for the farm.

I ran to the side of the house and grabbed the spare key which was always kept in the plant pot.

I let myself in. Betty wasn't here either. I wish I knew where mom had sent her. Tomorrow my investigation will start, and I will find my sister.

It's been 2 days since mom sent Betty away. I had called Jughead but since he was on the run with Archie, he hadn't spoke a word to her. Veronica had her own thing going on with her speakeasy and with her dad so I kept her out of it.

I woke up in the big empty house and got ready for school.

When I arrived, Cheryl called a vixen meeting and said we should do our weekly hall takeover.

She does this once a week to remind Riverdale high who's in charge.

We basically just do a slow walk down the halls and everyone parts like the Red Sea. It is kind of cool to be honest.

I was really worried about Betty so the vixens headed out and I gave her one last call before joining them.

No answer, as usual.

I headed out of the locker room and all of a sudden I heard Cheryl screaming.

I ran around the corner and all the vixens apart from Cheryl were having a seizure.

"Oh my god somebody get help!" I shouted.

Veronica was taken back to the Pembrooke and Cheryl took Toni to Thistlehouse.

After school I returned home to rummage through my moms drawers and cupboards one last time to try and find out where Betty was.

But when I arrived, my mom was stood there in the kitchen.

"Mother. Good to see you" I said, crossing my arms stubbornly.

"Ah Cally I'm glad you're okay" she replied.

"Mom it's been 3 days since I ran away from those men. You really didn't even think to check if I was okay?"

"Well I didn't need to. Principle Weatherbee said you had been attending classes and when I called Fred Andrews he told me that he's seen you coming in and out of the house on more than one occasion"
