"First of all he wears that 'pink' shirt like everyday," Gwen commented. I chuckled.
Bridgette rolled her eyes before opening her mouth to speak, "I—" she cut herself off and resulted to another topic of discussion. "We should all go on a triple date!" Bridgette said with a squeal. Gwen and I looked at each other in disgust. "Oh come on guys, it would help me get Geoff to finally ask me out. Him and I, Gwen and Trent, and you and Duncan go out this weekend."
I looked at her and crossed my arms, "and what makes you so sure I even want to go out with that delinquent?" Gwen and Bridgette both looked at each other and smiled.
"Oh come on Courtney, let's not pretend that you two haven't been staring at each other since you transferred here, I bet you two even had a moment during your cemetery date last weekend." Gwen said with a smile. I looked at her in shock. But I immediately remembered how we almost kissed that night in front of my house, and how stupid he looked trying to play it off when my aunt barged in on us. But who was I to admit that we had a moment? A cute moment?
"First of all I wasn't staring at him!" They looked at me and rolled their eyes with a smile. "Second of all, No. Never. As if!"
"As if what?" The blue eyed, pierced kid said, interrupting our conversation. He couldn't even wipe the smirk off his face when he caught me looking at him, and for some reason I couldn't stop blushing. Geoff and him finally stopped walking when they decided where to stand, and for some reason Duncan pushed his face towards mine and stared back at me. He was close, very close to me.
"I was just thinking it'd be cool if we all went out this weekend, you and Courtney, Trent and Gwen, and Geoff and I... if it's cool with you guys I mean," Bridgette said softly.
"Dude that would be sick!" Geoff said chirpily. Duncan smiled as well and continued to look at me, not breaking contact when someone spoke. Oh how I wish he'd stop looking at me.
He begun to open his mouth to speak when his head was suddenly pulled away from me and into the arms of another. He was now angry at whoever relocated him.
"He can't, he's busy this weekend." The raven haired brat said stepping into the conversation Duncan and Geoff stepped into. I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms. "Duncan and I are going out, so he's not allowed to associate with losers like, well, Courtney." She said cockily. I looked at Duncan who looked away to my surprise.
I tried to build up the courage to speak, but I couldn't. I just watched as Heather wrapped her arms around Duncan as he stood their nonchalantly, as if it didn't bother him.
