17- Slowly Breaking

💙Pattons POV💙
I woke up with a headache, probably from how I'm sitting. How long have I been here? How long will I be here? Are they going to find me? I took a slow look around, trying to work out where I am. Nothing but darkness... "you're awake!" deceit walked out from the shadows, into the small amount of light that was around me. "I see that you've been doing your job, little one." deceit looked behind me. "what? What job?" I shot my head up at him in a panic.  "oh, you didn't realise? You're dimming." he was right. The light around me was like a symbol, a symbol meaning that I'm a light side, and it was slowly fading. No! "How? Why?!" I shrunk back into the chair, hanging my head. "why are you doing this?" tears begun to stream from my eyes as I thought about the others, about what would happen if I were to become a dark side. "I thought we already explained it. To get Virgil, we have to have you." deceit leaned down and lifted my chin so that I was facing him. His wicked smile made me shudder. "keep doing your job and we will get Virgil, little one." Deceit sunk back out of the room, making it easier to look around again. The smoke.... Its different. The smoke isnt just smoke anymore. There are words floating around in it. 'They don't really love you.'  'they'll be better off when you're gone.' I spin my head around to see the young boy from before. "what are you doing?!" he was sitting on the floor, twirling the smoke around his fingers. "breaking you." how is he so cold? He's just a child! "Listen, kiddo. I don't know what deceit is making you do, but you can st-"  his eyes shot up towards me like daggers. "he's not making me do anything!"

💜Virgils POV💜
Everyone was sitting in the lounge room, trying to work out where Deceit could be hiding Patton. It's been approximately fourteen hours since he first went missing and we've searched the mindscape six times so far. Logan has been going over anything and everything that could lead to where they are whilst Roman has been searching non stop with the dark sides. Everyone was getting exhausted, they would need to rest soon. I can keep going. "Virgil? Are you okay? You need to rest." Roman just came back from another trip around the mindscape. "I'm fine, we just need to find him." I was going through the security footage again and again. Logan had installed the cameras after Mani and I had started to mess with them. I turned to Roman and gave him a serious look. "I wouldn't be able to rest anyway. Not until we find him."
