I rolled out of bed, nearly falling completely. I regained my balance and stood up. I stretched my arms out and recognized the rough cotton  interior as Michael's jacket and I couldn't help but smile at myself. I didn't bother taking it off as I brushed my teeth and washed my face. I looked at myself in the mirror and while still recognizable, I'm a different person.

"I like Michael" I whispered to myself as I walked to my closet and pulled the wooden doors open.

I decided on a nice flower dress that would go with the jacket, because I didn't plan on leaving it behind.

I found my pair of black boot heels that only went up to my ankle, thy were about as "michael" as I get when it comes to shoes.

I did my makeup naturally, with concealer and simple eyeliner, and looked myself in my mirror that showed me from head to toe. I felt this new brand of confidence. I tied my hair back to show off my new piercings, and if I was lucky, mom still wasn't awake and I may make it out alive.  I gently descended the stairs careful not to make any noise, and luckily I didn't.

I checked in the kitchen and found it vacant with the coffee not even started. I took a sigh of relief.

I grabbed my backpack from the chair that was tucked into the counter and grabbed my purse from the coat rack and I was out.

out of the house at 7:15 and school doesn't start until 9.

I yawned widely and decided that I was in desperate need of coffee.  I hopped on the subway and made a plan to go to the starbucks around the corner from school.

The subway ride wasn't long... At all really. It was 4 stops and it took me about 10 minutes away from school itself.

I checked my watch when I got to starbucks. It was 7:45. I found the long, tall dark haired bespectacled girl that was here when Michael and I came. Holly was her name.

"Hey Dani, right?"

She asked placing her hands on the top of the screen in front of her.

I nodded in reply.

"How's it going with blue boy?"

It was even more complicated than it had been the first time I told her.

"Well it's even more complicated now...." I began.

"Well it's pretty dead here right now, and I need to get to school soon so how about I make us some pumpkin spices and we talk?" She suggested pushing a stray hair behind her ear.

I nodded.

I walked to the first table I found. There was literally no body here, and it kind of seemed like there never was.

"Alright..." She said holding two cups wearing a green apron and a pair of skinny jeans. She was also wearing a pair of black and white shoes that looked almost like converse but they weren't.

I pulled the cup towards me and wrapped my cold hands around the cup.

"Well remember when I said it was really complicated?" I asked hoping she remembered. She nodded furrowing her brows making a wrinkle on her forehead.

"Well it's even worse now..." I began.

She nodded taking a sip.

"Okay so he called me yesterday morning..." I began, and I told her all about how we got piercings together and then how he gave me his jacket at which point she said "is that why you're wearing it right now." And I nodded. We ate lunch together and then finally I told her how he just kissed me, told me he liked me and now probably hates me because he doesn't think I feel the same way.
