Thunder crackled and lightning struck but Blake and I were used to this. There were reports of strange lights and musical voices coming from the swamp we're at that led to mysterious disapearances.
Blake flagged me over and he put his index finger up to his lips. "Over there is a demon and over by the tree is another one, bad news is is there's Hellhounds also. Got that amulet?" Blake said in his deep rough voice. "Yeah, and my sword, what's the plan?" I asked as I looked at my twin brother Blake.
He had dark hair and blue eyes like me. He wore a black leather jacket and black jeans. During night missions we wear all black to help keep us hidden. I wore pretty much the same as my brother, black leather jacket, black skinny jeans but I also had an amulet given to me by my mother who also used to be hunter, she retired a few years ago but taught us everything we know. Blake and I come from a family of demon hunters, our family pretty much hunts anything that comes from Hell.
"Janice? Earth to Janice!" My brother whispered. "Yeah?" I asked. "We'll come back tomorrow alright? There's just too many and we don't have the right weapons." Blake explained. "Okay, but next time we'll come prepared for anything." I said as we started sneaking away. Then I accidently stepped on a twig and one of those ugly ass Hellhounds heard it and let out a demonic howl before it and the other two Hellhounds started charging towards us. "Run!" Blake yelled.
I took off at full speed in the direction of our car. I heard the snarling and growling, then the crashing of a body falling. I turned around and saw Blake on the ground struggling against the Hellhounds. I pulled out my nine millimeter and shot at them. It didn't wound them but it was enough for me to grab my brother and half drag, half run with him to the car.
There was just a few more feet when suddenly there was a black mist in front of us and a demon apeared in it's true but terrible form. I gave the gun to Blake and drew my sword. The demons hand turned into a sword and I went head to head with the vile creature. My sword is blessed and was forged with blessed water. I dodged and parried and eventually I sliced it across it's chest and it let out a screech of pain. It swung its hand/sword one more time and it caught my right hip and went across my body all the way to my left shoulder. I screamed and the demon vanished. I held my hands on the wound but I fell to the ground and everything went black.
