When I woke up again Blake was almost to the hospital. He looked over at me as I weakly lifted my head up while I woke. "Blake..." I managed to say as he continued to look at me while he also kept looking back at the .

"Janice? Hang in there just a little longer and we'll be there okay?" He said. I shook my head as I closed my eyes. "Hey! Janice! Focus on me, you need to stay awake! I know how hard it is for you right now but no matter what you cannot fall asleep or anything! Just focus on me okay?" Blake pleaded with me frantically. I opened my eyes and turned my attention to my brother as I fought to stay awake. Finally Blake made one last turn and the hospital was right in front of us.

Blake parked as as he could to the emergeny entrance and got out. A moment later he came back around to my side of the car and helped me out. I stumbled and slumped down against the car when I tried to walk. Blake looked around anxiously before he scooped me up in his arms as gently as he could. He ran with me across the parking lot, before we got to the receptionist I fainted again.

When I awoke again I heard the beeping of machines and the sound of Blake softly. I groaned slightly in pain as my now stitched up wound really started hurting.

At the sound of my voice Blake woke up and when I looked over at the heart monitor my heart rate started rising as my adrenaline kicked in-in response to the pain coming from my injury. As my numbness from earlier lessened I began to feel the full force of my pain and cried out loudly enough that a nurse walking by heard me from my room. The nurse stopped and walked in, he looked at the note the doctor had left and went somewhere. When he came back he had something for me and after he gave it to me I was able to relax again as my pain subsided. "That should do it now sweety, here's a call button if you need me okay? I'm going to go check on another patient and let the doctor know your awake for now, I'll come back as soon as I can with the doctor. Just relax and take it easy until then, you think you can do that?" He asked. I nodded my head and before I could say anything he went along his way again.

"Blake, how long have we been here?" I asked as my voice cracked from disuse.
"Well it took them a while to stabalize you and stitch you up and then you slept for about 2 maybe 3 days, woke up said something and then went back to for about another 2 days so all in all we have been here a week." Blake told me.

"I don't remember waking up or saying anything, I didn't even dream or if I did I don't remember dreaming." I told him.
Suddenly the nurse came back with the doctor just as promised.

"Janice Hayden? Hi I'm Dr.Clarke I was the one who performed your operation, your one lucky woman." The doc said as he shook my hand. The nurse checked my vitals and lifted my blankets and sheets back. "Would you like your brother to out or stay in here?" Dr.Clarke asked.

"He stays, how bad will it look?" I asked.

"Well if you get squimish easily you'll have a rough few months until it heals all the way..." Dr.Clarke told me.

"I'll be fine, not much scares me." I replied. I took a deep breath as he lifted my gown up to reveal a bunch of gauze. He gently pried the medical tape off and lifted the gauze to reveal a puckered ridge of stitches.

"It'll leave one hell've a scar but its a small price to pay to keep breathing air. My team and I barley managed to save you Janice, your brother hear wouldn't leave your side he almost followed you to the operation room. He did manage to save our life by donating much needed blood." Dr.Clarke said as he applied clean gauze to the stitched up wound.

"How long do I stay here for? My brother and I need to head home soon, our mother will be worried because we should be back from our trip by now." I lied.

"You need to stay here for a few weeks, long distance travel will be very difficult and you'll need to stop often to change your bandages, you'll be back to normal in 2-3 months." Dr.Clarke answered with a grim look on his face, I could tell he didn't want me to leave for a long time with the critical condition I had been in.
