NOTE: Know the first note I made, about how I'd do this properly? Yeah, I forgot...
When I awoke we were in our den. I heard someone gasp in horror as they approached, I didn't remember much after running towards the forest other than Damien's true came out again. "Elizabeth, this isn't a good idea, we have no clue what is going on. You see what he's done? What he was doing to Tamra? He could still be out of control." Martin told his daughter. Slowly I climbed out to be hit with the stench of dead bodies.
When I looked around the of my den bodies littered the ground, they were human but not from this town, I must've drug them here. "Adam? Or is it Damien?" Elizabeth called.
I whined. "Adam! What happened?" Elizabeth asked, she was scared I could tell.
I lumbered past her and picked up a deer leg that was laying around and tore into it, I was hungry and the only other option was the half eaten human bodies. Not the best option and it would only make things worse, I kept my back to them as I ate and gnawed on the leg bone. "Um, I don't exactly know how you are but are you at all able to speak?" She asked. I didn't respond. "Are you stable?" She asked, I growled.
"Okay so I take that as a no. Are you more wolf?" She asked. She stepped forward and I snarled as I spun around to her, the animal part of my brain was more awake right now. She hurriedly stepped back and I relaxed as I lumbered around the clearing, looking for any scraps I may have tucked away.
I saw the small pool near my den and drank deeply before splashing the to cool off. I picked another bone off of my pile, it had teeth marks on it already. "Adam, we need to figure out what to do now. Tamra is still out there and after you, trying to twist you still. After last night I saw how she got you, we need to find a way to block her out for both you and Damien." Elizabeth said.
"Doesn't she get the point of fucking immortality? We can't be destroyed and neither can Tamra, there's no blocking the bitch out!" Damien growled in my head. I mimicked his growl because I felt the same way to be honest.
"Well there has to be something! You can't just give up! I saw the look in your eyes last night, the hate in them. You don't want this and you don't have to, there is always a way." She yelled at me.
I turned on her then and growled deeply, the point was clear and I pushed it further when I backed her into a tree and snapped my teeth mere inches from her face. I stalked off to my cave only for her to follow me in. Martin wasn't happy about any of this but he was having as much luck as I was.
I decided to scare her then, I grabbed one of the many human skulls and dropped it in front of her. Her eyes went wide as she hurriedly flung it to the side. I took another and placed it and continued to place them in front of her. "Okay! I get the point! You don't have to be like this though Adam! Your curse may be irreversible but have you ever tried to reverse it?!" She yelled.
I went to the back of my cave, curled up and went to . Until she flicked my nose. I gave her a warning growl, she was messing with a side of me that is best left inside. "Elizabeth, come on, let's leave him for a bit, you're aggravating him." Martin told her.
It was a good thing she finally listened to her father as I was about ready to bite her. Only for a red flag to go off in my head. I leaped out of my den and knocked her down and snarled as I stood over her. "Adam!" She screamed, I had scared her.
I snarled and pawed her back, she bit back a cry of pain as my nails got to her. I perked my ears and sniffed the air. Something was definitely wrong. I snarled and caught the wolf as I slammed it to the ground and tore it open. It's cries falling on deaf ears.
I let out a roar as more appeared and grabbed onto me. I snarled and slammed my body from side to side as I struggled to get them off. Then when they overwhelmed me I gave in, sank to the ground as they ripped at me. A deep and terrifying rumble sounded from me and Damien took over as the curse filled him. He rose to our feet and grabbed the nearest wolf and threw it against a tree, a sickening snap filling the clearing. Then Damien spotted the Alpha. I knew what he was going to do, he was going to make the Alpha succumb to his will.
It didn't take long, Damien stood tall and barred his teeth in a snarl, the Alpha could sense our power, our strength and slowly backed down. The Alpha raised his nose and howled, the other wolves followed him as he ran off. Then Damien gave control back to me, the pain was all consuming and I fell to the ground, writhing in pain. Fear consumed me as I slammed my paw in front of me and began dragging myself to my den, my safe place. Once there I lay there, trying to hold still as my curse went to work with healing me. I growled as my pain increased, a deep burning in my body, as the burn increased I let out a cry of pain until Damien took over, he didn't feel pain. I did, it's one of the things that was so different between us. Soon I heard Martin and Elizabeth walking away and I gave into the darkness of sleep...
