School was slow, many people stared at me or whispered in low tones as I passed by in the halls. There was also plenty of rumors going around on how I ended up in the forest but frankly I didn't care as long as everyone left me alone. The truth is I was out there because I was trying to catch my cat which had gotten out, the wolf had attacked me and of course my cat ran home safe and sound. Then the huge black wolf attacked the other wolf and I had slowly realized the wolf was trying to save me. Then the stuff with the huge wolf happened and now I was here with other teenagers weaving horrible tales and rumors about what happened but I didn't dare utter the truth to anyone. My best friend Leo didn't even know the truth really and I told him everything, I was thinking about telling Leo this weekend but I'm not sure if that is the smartest of things to do.

I was walking home from school and I was following a trail behind my house when I saw the black glossy fur out of the corner of my eye. I spun around to find nothing there but I wasn't fooled for a second. I continued along, always watching the black fur from the corner of my eye as I pretended to not see the wolf. Finally when I was close to my house I spun so quickly and unexpectedly the wolf wasn't expecting it. The huge black wolf froze in surprise as I looked at him, he seemed kind again, no longer foaming at the mouth trying to chase me down to shred me. The wolf had lost a lot of weight over the past month or two since I had seen him as his ribs were clearly visible and his hips stuck out sharply against his hide. He looked smaller but it looked desperate as it looked at me with hunger and pain filled eyes. I turned around and started the rest of the way home and the wolf followed. I continued walking until the wolf was jogging beside me as I hurried home as I realized what time it must be.

I was at the back door when I looked behind me at the fence and saw the wolf looking at me from the forest edge, he refused to come out of the cover of the trees. I took a deep breath before opening the door, my dad didn't do groceries, that was what I did since my dad works at the factory downtown as much as the factory can get out of him. I went to the freezer and quickly defrosted some meats, they were not the best, I had bought them a little while ago but upon cooking some of it I never touched it as it had a weird taste to it. It wasn't spoiled just I didn't like it at all. I grabbed the meats I had defrosted and returned outside.

The wolf was still there at the edge of the woods and when he saw the meat his ears perked up ad he became more alert. The hunger in his eyes intensified as he took a tentative step out into the open. I held out the meat to him and he hesitantly came to me, he stopped and stretched his neck as far as he could as he sniffed the raw meat. "It's okay, its for you." I told him softly he gently grabbed the raw meat from my hand and gulped it down and looked at me for more, his attention was focused solely on me as I had food and he was starving.

I took the big bag of meat I hated and pushed it towards him, slowly he approached it and stood there for a while before eating it. I sat out on the porch and left the back door open slightly as I made mine and my dads dinner. The big wolf pushed open the back door curiously and I looked up at the clock, I still had about 2 or 3 hours before my dad got home. The wolf looked around and sniffed. My Siamese cat Lucille came out and when she saw the wolf she arched her back and hissed. The wolf jumped back and I watched his eyes dilated to slits before going back to how they were. I grabbed Lucille and put her on her way she ran off to the basement to most likely go catch some mice.

Slowly the wolf came further into the house and sniffed and looked and responded differently to some things than he did others. I watched nervously as I followed and kept my distance, I had to keep in mind this wasn't just a stray dog, it was a wild animal, a wolf.

I lost sight of the wolf when it went into the garage, I looked but couldn't find it anywhere. I looked out the window and saw the moon was full, there was a blue moon tonight. I walked to the living room and saw the wolf I gasped and jumped back to the doorway with my phone in hand as I heard the sound of bones snap for a half second I thought the wolf had grabbed Lucille but then I saw her bound over to me and hiss menacingly at the wolf. Then I heard a sound that was half animal and half human, I realized then that the bones snapping were the wolf's bones...
