Elizabeth's Point Of View

The wolf let out a growl as my voice echoed loudly and I realized then the volume of my voice must be much louder to his sensitive ears. He covered his head with his big paws and cried like a dog that was being stepped on before bolting. The wolf was strange and I didn't understand him, it was almost as if at times he was human. This couldn't be the great beast that I had been told stories about growing up in my small town. The beast I had heard about looked like him but wasn't this friendly.

About 10 minutes after the wolf ran off I heard howling that turned my blood to ice. It felt like a stone had been dropped into my as fear crawled up my spine. My fight or response was going off and I ran.

I ran towards the direction of my town and the whole way there the blood chilling howling followed me and I swear I saw glossy black fur flit between the trees. When I reached the back yard of my house I hopped the fence and looked over it as I stood on my tip toes.

I saw the huge black wolf that I thought had saved me standing there snarling in my direction, his eyes had lost their friendliness and his pupils were dilated into slits...

Before me stood the wolf I had heard about in stories from the people of the town through out my childhood, the wolf I was terrified of because of those stories even though he couldn't possibly have been real. Yet there he stood, one second he had been my savior and the next my nightmares.

That night as I lay in my room after being taken to the hospital by my dad and getting fluids pumped into me and given pain killers for my ankle, I couldn't stop think about that terrifying yet caring wolf.

I couldn't stop thinking about him which prevented me from sleeping so I got up and painfully made my way to my desk. I opened the first drawer and pulled out some drawing paper and from my third drawer I took out my drawing pencils and professional coloring pencils.

I spent hours sketching and drawing the wolf, finally after three hours I got my finished product and spent another hour coloring the drawing. I sat back and looked at it, I was satisfied with my work and hung it up above my bed. I paced as I chewed my nails in frustration, as crazy as it was I needed to see the mysterious wolf again. I needed proof he was real and I want imagining him...

I tip toed down stairs and looked in the kitchen, my dad was sitting at the table writing in his journal.

I quickly tip toed back up to my room and went down the stairs again, this time pretending to be half asleep and dragging my feet. "Hey honey, what are you doing up?" My dad asked as he looked up.

I rolled my head and groaned as I kept stumbling to the fridge. "Can't sleep, hungry..." I mumbled.

My dad went back to his journal and finished writing before hugging me and going to his room. I waited a few minutes before I heard his , my dad could never tell if I was pretending to do something or not, him on the other hand couldn't play dead to save his life. I hated lying or faking things to my dad but it came in handy at times, others not so much if I was the type of kid that wanted to stay up and sneak out doing drugs or going to parties and other stuff like that.

I really was hungry so I rummaged around for some lunch meats and mayo, as well as ketchup and honey mustard. I grabbed a sub bun from the cupboard and sliced it in half before piling on my lunch meats and condiments and putting some cheese in it. I grabbed the block of cheese from the fridge and cut off a big chunk before going back upstairs.

I ate my sub and cheese before getting into some jeans and a long sleeved shirt. I quietly went down stairs and found some steaks in the fridge and wrapped them with plastic wrap. I went back to my room where I grabbed my camera and went back downstairs and put some boots on and a coat.

I put the steaks in my coat pocket and the camera around my neck as I left the house. I quickly made my way back to where I had been saved by the huge wolf and quietly stalked towards his den. I spotted him pacing outside and lifted my camera. I got a good shot without needing the stupid and got a few more.

I was just about to head back home when he lifted his nose to the stars and let out a lone, sad, pain filled howl. I pulled my phone out and recorded him howling and when he finally stopped and went into his den I quickly but quietly unwrapped the steaks and left them near the entrance of the beasts den before I made my way home.

I snuck in through the back door and silently clicking it behind me before tip toeing upstairs to my room. I uploaded the pictures from my camera and the video from my phone to my laptop.

I edited the photo so he could be seen easier and was taken aback. He was stunning in the photo and a silverish-blue aura surrounded him.

I thought it was a trick of the light but each photo had been taken in different lighting and had the same thing, I even managed to rule out any other possibilities. I closed everything and turned off my laptop. This was crazy, I was tired and would wake up in the morning and realize how stupid all this was. I fell into bed and drifted into sleep.

Adam's Point Of View

It was hours before the curse let go of me. I had chased Elizabeth all the way and it took all I had to keep us from leaping over and smashing through the fence. Damien made us stalk around the forest edge before returning home. I let out a broken howl and swear I faintly smelled the girl and some steak but shook the idea out of my head and entered my den.

When I came out later that night I found some steaks next to my den entrance, she had snuck back for some reason and left me these. I ate them before returning to the house the girl apparently lived in and saw through her window, she was safe and asleep just as she needed to be. For the girls own sake I hoped we had scared her even though those steaks suggested other wise, if she wasn't scared she needed to forget for her own sake and god did I pray she did.
