I followed the girl , she spun around but I had darted out of her sight. She shook her head and continued walking, she seemed to not see me so I was careful not to get any closer or farther from her as she walked down the trail. Suddenly after some time she spun and caught me by , there was no hiding now. I watched as she looked at me and a sadness came over her eyes as she took in my starving , she the continued to walk home and I followed, not bothering to stay hidden.

I stopped at the forest edge and she looked back before walking up to her . She was gone a while but when she came out she had lots of meat, this surprised me and Damien both, our ears perked up. I noticed I was slowly becoming stronger than Damien these past few months, I could feel a blue moon coming soon. It would be tonight or later this week, I thought it unlikely that it would be tonight. We hesitated before stepping forward, Damien was weary but I was shy. Damien made us sniff the meat before I slowly made us take the meat from her hand gently. Our hunger came at us head on and the girl pushed a big bag of meat. "It's all yours." Is what she had said when I sniffed the meat from her hand a few seconds ago.

After Damien and I ate the contents of the bad we looked up, she had left the door open and a smell that made our mouth water drifted from the open doorway. We pushed the door open with our nose and sniffed curiously. We saw the girl by something that I had learned was called a stove. Then a tan and black cat came from somewhere, it hissed and arched its back at us and I jumped back. Damien had been angered that something so small scared us and I felt him take over but I used my strength from the approaching blue moon to over power him and send him back to where he was a few moments ago.

The girl grabbed the cat and sent the cat on its way, the cat sped down some stairs and I continued to explore as my, our, curiosity drove us onward. The girl had followed me to something called a garage when I looked up and saw the moon. It was full and I knew immediately tonight was the blue moon. I panicked and before the girl knew it I had ran to the living room, I froze and could no longer on as my bones started to snap. I heard the girl gasp as she heard the sound of my bones snap and the cat hissed from beside her. Then an unimaginable pain I could never get used to burned through me, when I cried out it sounded like something human and animal at the same time.

Slowly I opened my eyes and raised what I knew would be a hand. I saw my left hand and clenched and unclenched my fingers, I really was human but only for a week. I looked up as I remembered where I was and saw the girl had turned, a red blush on her cheek from what I could see of it. She quickly rushed out of the room and when she returned she threw a blanket at me and I quickly covered up. "What are you?!" She finally shouted. I got up slowly and made sure to keep myself covered as I tied the blanket around my waist.

"I'm cursed, I'm human like you but thousands of years ago a witch cursed me. I promise I won't hurt you now, just please don't panic." I said in a thick accent.

"What?! This is crazy, this isn't real!" She said as she sat in a chair, she had grabbed the cat and was stroking it, the cat hissed at me and buried itself in the girl as it tried to do it;s part in soothing the girl.

"It's very real, just please don't do anything, I'll leave now." I said as I started walking towards the back door.

"You don't have to leave..." She said slowly and quietly.

"What is your name?" I asked.

"Elizabeth, what is yours? Surely you have a name." Elizabeth said.

"Adam, my name is Adam... Nobody has called me by my name in a long time, also the other part, the cursed part, the one that tried to attack you the night I chased you home is called Damien." I said softly.

"Wait Adam, what do you mean?" She asked.

"I'm split, the human part and the cursed part. My name is Adam but when that witch..." I started but stopped as I felt Damien anger at the thought of that damned witch.

"It's alright you don't need to tell me..." Elizabeth said softly.

I started to leave but then I felt her grab my wrist and yank me up the stairs. I was confused until she opened a room that had men's stuff inside. She rummaged around before tossing me some clothes. "They're my dads, don't worry he won't miss them." She said before leaving me there to dress.
