"Mason, dude wake up! Come on!" Jackson yelled as he banged on the bathroom door, I jerked awake and found myself in the bathtub, my legs hanging over the side and my hand fumbling against the wall.

"Hang on!" I slurred as I struggled to get up. I opened the door to find my brother, Jackson, standing there, a pissed off expression on his face.

"Overdid it again last night didn't you? I warned you that everytime you and Devon get together it results in you waking up at 3 in the afternoon, last time I found you sleeping in the trashcan and almost didn't get to you before the garbage man." Jackson said.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. How many times must you remind me Jackson? Hey, do you know where my smokes went?" I asked him as I noticed they weren't on the kitchen counter next to my keys.

"You threw them in the garbage, don't even try, garbage truck already came around before I could get them for you." Jackson said as I started making my way to the garbage.

"Before you say it, yes I know it's a horrible habit but it helps, I mean there are worse things I could be doing, or smoking..." I told him

"Oh I know it." Jackson said.

"Well in any case, I'm going to the nearest gas station to buy some cigarettes and Advil." I told him as I grabbed my keys.

"Remember to take more than two hours!" Jackson said.

"Very funny!" I called over my shoulder. I squinted in the afternoon light, when the hell did it get so bright? Oh yeah, while I was passed out in the bathtub.

The drive to Wesco was uneventful other than the weird way some people were stumbling around but, hey, who am I to judge? I pulled up to the gas pump where I filled my gas tank before going inside. "I got about 20 outside, can I get a pack of cigarettes?" I asked the cashier.

"What kind?" He asked as he scanned the bottle of Advil I set on the counter.

"Doesn't matter." I said.

After dry swallowing a handful of Advil and smoking a cigarette I felt better, my head was a bit clearer. As I was driving I turned the radio on, same old boring bullshit but it was something.
