The lights in the theater
Were blinding,
And I can't recall if the theater
Really was one.
I could recall your hands on me,
And mine on you,
And I felt both at peace and high on
Adrenaline.
The music was blasting,
I could hear the bass in my ears,
And your voice could cut through
The pounding clearly.
Dancing wasn't your forte,
But that didn't matter;
We were tangled in each other's arms.I love holding on to you,
As your arms are a safe place for me.
Being wrapped up in your touch is
Intoxicating
In a way that the effects don't leave
Scars behind.
We're here together,
In the intensity of the dance floor,
And being in your arms,
And you in mine,
Is the perfect place for us to be.
In the moment, enjoying it all.
