The night is more fascinating
Than the day to me,
And I always tend to
Keep my eyes on the moon.
It and the stars have always
Kept my eyes,
Both shining in the same way.

I find myself changing just as much.
With each change comes
The shedding of a skin
Worn out by a new sadness:
Heartbreak, anger, and
Any feeling in between.
And with my eyes on the moon,
I keep the focus on changing
And improving so that
I can move just as much.
