In my head,
I imagine myself someplace
Exhilarating.I pretend that I'm standing in a
Convertible with the roof down,
Letting the wind mixed with
Nature and the car speed
Push my hair back wildly.I pretend that I'm in the mix of people
At a party, lights and music aplenty,
Dancing the way I want and
Not caring about the others,
Who dance in their own ways too.I pretend to be around someone I love
As we take in a modern wonder,
A structure or nature itself,
And let the awe of the masterpiece
Take our minds over.In all these instances I dream up,
I always felt alive in them.
And it's the kind of alive
I strive to have someday,
When everything can click into place.
