Minho's P.O.V.
This was so new to me: airports, planes, passeport handling, arriving into a new country, hearing everyone speak a language I hand learned but rarely heard. "Are you alright in there Minho?"I bowed down. "Yes coach, I just never took the plane before."
He smiled. "You better get used to it because I feel you'll take it often from now on."
I was touched. "You really think so?"
He nodded. "I do, I have faith in you. You're talented. If you accept it, I'd like to coach you solo once you leave high school."
I almost jumped on the taxi's backseat. "Really? That'd be an honour sir." He gave me a bag. "What's this?"
"Did you think you'd swim in a big filmed competition with that pink and white swimsuit of yours? You represent South Korea now. You need to look like it." He glanced at the bag. "Open up."
I did to find a white long sleeved swimsuit with our country's flag on the left upper breast. There even was a blue and red line going from the collar to the end of the sleeves. "It's mine? I don't know what to say.. Thank you so much!"
He pat my hair like a child. "It's nothing really. You'll use it well and make honour to it."
I hugged the gift tight. "I'll make sure of it."
"You might even have interviews if you go further than qualifications." He pointed out.
Wait what? "Interviews?"
He laughed. "This isn't a tiny competition Minho. It's the real thing. If you do well, your career will soar."
I could make this a career? I never thought it could be possible, not with my condition anyway. I was a lucky girl.. I wished I could do it. "Then I'll make sure not to deceive."
Namjoon's P.O.V.
"Hey, can I ask you something?" I said over the phone. My noona's voice rang to my ears. "Anything, what do you want from Eunho noona?"
"Do you a free schedule tomorrow and 120$ for a back and forth trip to Japan?" I asked.
She almost choked on her drink. "What kind of question is that? What would I need to go to Japan for?"
I laughed. "We're December 15th."
I heard her squeal. "Oh my gosh! I forgot! It's her competition! I'm so stupid!"
"You aren't! Look, she's alone there with her coach and I think she'd like some company to cheer her up and make her less nervous about it." I explained my idea. I asked my boss, but I wasn't granted the possibility of leaving. "If you can and want to, I don't want to impose a trip."
She laughed. "Stop sounding so apologetic all the time! It's been a while since I've been to Japan. I could even stay a day or two. If she's free I'm gonna show her around."
I couldn't believe she agreed. "I'm gonna pay you back for this, I promise."
She denied. "Hey. I want to go and she's gonna have company. I can only thank you for calling me. I'll get packing."
I smiled. "Alright.. I'll let you do that."
"Do you want me to tell her anything?" She asked.
Could she read my mind or something? "Tell her to have fun."
"I'll do that." She chuckled. "Oh, didn't you say you had songs you wanted her to listen to?"
I did, but.. "I'll wait until she gets back. They can't leave my studio just yet."
She seemed intrigued. "Why so?"
I wanted Minho to hear them first and see her expression. "It's complicated." I joked.
She added. "How's your year preparing for the end of the year's party?"
I held back a laugh. "What's your real question?"
"I told Minnie she should think of buying her dress soon, but she said she'd think about it because she's going just to hang out with you guys." She explained.
I frowned. "I don't understand."
"Dammit Namjoon! Ask her to come. She wants to have a reason to go." She pointed out. "Jackson's telling me how you two are since the beginning of the year."
Now I was embarrassed. "What are you talking about? We're just friends like we were last year."
She denied. "No it isn't~ Just think about it okay? I'm gonna have to go buy my ticket."
She hung up. They were talking about prom already? I checked myself in the mirror. I'd have to find a way to fix my hair because it's getting long and not necessarily looking good. Just imagining Minmin in a dress made me laugh. Each time she tried one, she'd pull at it or say it's weird because she only wore Yoongi's handy downs. I looked out of the window. I truly wished she had fun swimming out there. She was so excited to go. I hoped it was what she dreamed of.
