Minho's P.O.V.
"What? He got you a necklace? And voluntarily kissed your cheek multiple times?" Eunho said.I nodded. "Yeah, we've been getting closer lately. I mean.. With my try-outs and interviews and photoshoots, I'm at school only 3 days a week sometimes. We see eachother less and we rely on eachother at school and-"
"Joo Minho. What kind of bullshit are you telling yourself? It's obvious he likes you." She sighed.
I denied. "I think he likes someone else. He asked me to teach him how to dance and choose his suit. He said he thought he should get a pink tie to go with his suit. That guy never wears pink."
She smiled. "Maybe because the girl he wants to ask out loves pink?"
I sighed. "See? Even you see he likes someone else."
She seemed angry at me. "Does he know you bought your dress? Does he know it's pink?"
"No and no." I frowned. "You're strange."
She slapped my arm. "And you are thick headed! He likes you!"
I rubbed my arm. "If he liked me he'd ask me to the ball."
She smirked. "Maybe he planned for it today. Go see him! Don't be late! You promised him you'd make dinner because he burned his yesterday."
I rolled my eyes as she pushed me out. "You watch too many dramas eonni."
Namjoon's P.O.V.
She grinned coming in. "Sorry I took a while, I passed by my grandpa's. He wondered how you were doing. I told him you were doing great and that you missed his pastries."I chuckled. "It's true that I miss them."
She laughed. "That's what I thought so.. I brought a mix of his best ones."
I picked it up. "You really didn't have to. You making food is already more than what I deserve."
She rolled her eyes. "Oh please.. I'm just making tofu, rice and vegetables. Nothing fancy."
Didn't need to be fancy for me to love something she made. "I wanted to know if I could ask you something."
After she and I took out all we needed, she cut the tofu out of the package and I made one of my biggest mistakes without knowing it.
She dropped the knife she had just picked up. "J- Your-"I looked down and saw where my hand was resting. I moved it as far away from her hip as I could. "Minho! Minho I'm so sorry! I-"
She took a deep breath. "I-it's okay.. You didn't mean to- I-"
I tried to hug her, but she pushed me away. "I'm fine okay? Just.. I need to cut this.. The oil is boiling.."I reduced the heat of the stove. I saw her try to cut the tofu with her trembling hands. I held the knife. "I don't want you losing fingers over it. Let me do it." I gently moved her aside and took care of it. She leaned against the counter trying to gain back her composure. When everything was in the pan, I walked to her and cleared her view by moving her hair away. "Minmin? Are you okay now?"
She nodded and started crying at the same time. "I didn't mean to get scared I swear! It's.. It's a reflexe.."
I pulled her to me. "It's okay. I'm not mad at you. I'm mad at me for triggering that." I hugged her tighter. "Please stop crying.. Everything is okay now. No one will ever touch you there anymore. Ever. I promise." Her crying stopped after a while. "Minmin.. You have no idea how sorry I am.."
She nodded pulling back. "I.. I do.. Or else I'd... I'd still be mortified."
I wipped the tears off her cheeks. "I'll always keep you safe even without having you close you hear me?"
She nodded. "You.. You wanted to ask me something right?"
Always thinking of others. "Now is not the time anymore. I want you to smile before I ask you."
She did a tiny one. "I want to know."
I pat her shoulder. "Later okay? You're still tearing up.."
She stood in front of the pan. "Then I'll take a look at this before it burns."
"Oh my gosh! I totally forgot about it!" I lowered the heat. "It's not burnt is it?"
She denied. "No, no. It's all golden and well done. I'll start the vegetables." After a while, she felt good enough to have pep talk. "So.. Is there a girl you like?"
I almost choke on my saliva. "Wait- what? Why?"
She shrugged. "Sorry, it's just that I noticed how caring you are around girls now and you asked me to teach you dance steps while we both know it isn't your thing."
"And?" I asked.
She turned around to face me. "You made sure your tuxedo for prom was perfect and you got a pink tie.. I never saw you wear pink!"
I scratched my head. "Well.."
She turned back to the pan. "There is someone huh? She is a lucky girl."
"I don't know, I think I'll be the luckiest if she says yes." I explained.
She smiled. "She must me very special to catch your eye."
I nodded. "She is. I met her a bit more than a year ago and everything changed since then."
"Really? Good for you." She glanced at me. "Do I know her?"
I tried not to laugh and play along. "Maybe. She's smart, speaks Japanese and English better than anyone I know, she looked like a nerdy boyish girl at first, but with time, she discovered she loved pink and skirts. Most importantly, when I hang out with her, I make sure I can see her eyes at dawn because I can clearly see how pretty they are."
She seemed confused. "That's.."
I directed her towards the counter not to hurt herself. "I met her on January 5th 2011 when my roommate moved in and two weeks ago, I went to a BigBang concert with her." I held her hand. "Please go to prom with me."
I was low enough for her to hug me by the neck. "I'll go with you."
I thought I didn't hear right. "Did you just say yes?" She nodded and I hugged her so tight I spun her around. "I really thought it'd go wrong."
She glanced at the food. "We should eat that before talking about anything else or it'll burn."
I joked. "I don't care if it burns anymore." Her smile was so wide, that's all that mattered.
She slapped my chest. "How dare you want to waste food?!" Yup. I deserved that.
