Minho's P.O.V.
I don't know why, but it was so easy to have a conversation with him. With him, I was an open book, the words flew without problem. Words I never dared to say out loud felt right to be spoken about with him and I didn't feel any discomfort in saying them. "Here, I made sure the water wasn't boiling so you'd be able to drink it."His smile always made me feel better when I was tensed. He accepted the cup. "Thanks a lot."
I pointed at the fridge. "I have cookies if you want any.."
He knew I wouldn't give in to telling so fast. He turned to me. "Are they from your grandpa?"
I had to smile. "You call him 'granpa' now? They aren't. I made them, but it's his recipe."
"I can't say no then, I have to try them." He stated.
I took them out. "Because it's my grandfather's recipe or because I made them?"
He frowned. "Can't it be both?"
I put them in front of him. "I'm warning you, I'm not as good of a baker as my grandpa so they may be a bit over cooked or.. More on the burnt side than over cooked I have to say."
He still bit into one. "They're not bad. The crispier sides give it a little crunch I don't hate."
"Really? You like them?" I asked.
Namjoon's P.O.V.
Her face just lit up. I nodded. "So much I'll even have another, but first." I pat the couch. "You sit here." She sat down giving me a weird look. "Don't look at me like I'm an alien Minmin. I know that face."She sighed putting her cup down. "Then what should I do huh?"
I chuckled. "Tell me why you're upset. I don't want you going to bed upset."
"Do you think I'm a bad swimmer? That I really stole her spot?" She asked.
I sighed. "Since when does Joo Minho think low of herself?"
She made a sad smile. "More than you think.. I just feel like she's right. I have a sickness that makes me unable to do sports yet I do that. I only arrived in the middle of last year and I'm captain."
That girl.. "Because you deserved it and Wonhae said that doing it twice a week wasn't too bad for you. It could even help you and you are a good swimmer."
She glanced down. "Sure.. I'm just mad at her. I'd never think I'm bad.. I'm the best in our team. I just let her get to me."
That's my Minmin. "Is there anything else you want to talk about? Like.. Why you needed to hold my hand earlier? Why that question the teacher asked touched you that much?"
She pointed at me. "Do you mind?"
I got the message. "No, go ahead."
She moved next to me, I opened my arm and she layed her head on my shoulder. "Fine.. So, you already know about Yoongi right?"
I nodded. "I do, but.."
"Look.. I'm sorry I held your hand, it's just that things are all messed up in my head. I never cared for more than just three people and Yoongi worries me so much that just the idea he might sink back just gives me chills." She apologized.
She didn't understand. "I didn't mind you holding my hand in class. I knew Yoongi was behind it. But, the thing with your parents.."
She snuggled up. "Ara's a bad liar. She adverts her gaze when she says my parents gave me up for adoption. It's a sign of lying. She does it only then. So I know they didn't give me up. Something happened."
I caressed her arm. "What makes you think it's your fault?"
A tear rolled out. "I have a feeling my mom knows everything and she's just lying to me. I wish I'm wrong, but my gut feeling is never wrong."
I hugged her tighter. I was glad she would talk to me, but that didn't mean I liked seeing her cry. "Even if you're right, you'll know what happened and who your parents are."
She looked up to me. "But that's gonna hurt so bad.."
I looked down at her and smiled. "But I'll be there with you if that happens okay? You can always count on me."
She nodded. "Right.. Sorry for using you as a tissue and as a pillow.."
I chuckled. "Hey. If it's to make you feel better, I don't mind being your pillow."
She laughed. "You're sweet."
"I'm not. You just mean a lot to me." I answered. Should I have? I wasn't the best at reading feelings.
She had such a pretty grin. "Would you like to stay until curfew? The lady in charge comes to look sometimes, I don't want you getting caught overstaying at my dorm."
I wouldn't care to get caught, but maybe she would. "If you don't mind sharing dinner with me."
She held back a laugh. "If you can help me do it without hurting yourself."
"Hey! I only cut myself once okay!" I argued.
She rolled her eyes. "Fine, wash your hands and grab a knife."
I think the way I cared for her changed as much as she did and so did my feelings. I'd probably get murdered by Yoongi if he learned about it one day, but I'd deal with that later. Now, I had to make dinner with Minmin.
