During breakfast one day, Lincoln came up to Ember and Clarke. He had slept in and they didn't want to wake him up. Earlier that morning Madi had left with Tavia on a walk, so it was just the three of them until they got back. "Mommy."

Lincoln climbed up into Ember's lap and she smiled down at him. "Yes, Little Angel?"

"Goggles in the rover."

Ember glanced over at Clarke. "what about them Lincoln?"

"Can I have a pair?"

Ember pushed his hair back, it was getting long and they'd need to cut it soon. Clarke met Ember's eye, both of them tense as they talked about Jasper's goggles. "I'll make you a pair, do you remember whose those are?"

"Jasper!"

Jasper was his favorite from all the stories they'd told the kids. After Clarke told Lincoln and Bellamy, they decided to tell the twins and Madi about all of their friends, both in the bunker and in space. They'd left out the Jasper from after Mount Weather, and instead told them of the boy who got speared in the chest and survived. The boy who went after Octavia in the cave even though he was terrified.

Lincoln thought he was courageous, and wanted to be like the hero in the stories. His second favorite was Monty. He wanted to keep the peace, and Lincoln respected that. Tavia had two favorites to hear about. Octavia and Bellamy. The girl she was named after, the girl that never got a chance to live until the got to the ground.

Bellamy was her favorite though. Her dad she was hopeful to meet one day.

Murphy was Madi's favorite, but she'd been bouncing around ever since she started learning about their friends.

"That's right. Let's make a deal, I'll find you a pair of goggles if you let me cut your hair."

Lincoln nodded quickly. "Let's do it now!"

Ember laughed as Lincoln jumped off her and grabbed her hand, starting to tug. "Clarke, get started on the goggles for me?"

"Are you sure you should be the one cutting his hair? Last I checked you weren't very good at it." Clarke signalled to Ember, her own choppy cut.

A few months ago, Ember had gotten tired of her long hair and cut it own to her shoulders. Her problem was she'd never cut her own hair before and it had been growing out ever since she got locked in the skybox. So she cut it short, but it didn't turn out as straight as she hoped.

"That was my own hair, I can cut someone else's."

Clarke looked at Lincoln. "Do you want me to do it instead?"

Lincoln looked between the two. "Auntie can do it. Mommy, work on my goggles!" He ran over to Clarke, signalling for her to pick him up.

She lifted the three-year-old up, carrying him out of the room. Ember glanced in the mirror at her hair, the choppy cut was almost gone and she'd have Clarke cut it for her next time.

Ember shook her head, deciding to look around for the parts to make goggles for Lincoln.

~~~
Ember had made the goggles. The strap was made out of elastic so as Lincoln grew it would continue to fit him for as long as he wanted to wear the goggles. The rim was made out of spare plastic they'd gotten from the remains of Arkadia that she had heated and molded into the correct shape she needed.
There was no glass or plastic for him to look through, and she hoped what she had would be enough for him. It still was goggles, just missing the lens. Lincoln ran outside with Clarke beside him. His hair was cut short and he jumped at Ember as he got close enough to her. "Hey Little Angel. Guess what I have?"
She pulled the goggles out from behind her and slipped over his head, covering his eyes. Lincoln gasped and bounced up with excitement. He looked up at Ember quickly. "Mommy! I look like Jasper!"
Clarke smiled, walking over to them as Madi and Tavia came into camp, Madi holding Tavia's hand. "Tavia! Look!" Lincoln ran over to his twin, the goggles tight around his head.
"Looks good," Clarke told Ember as she walked over to her. "I'm impressed."
"Thank you, I just channeled my inner creativity and got it handled."
Lincoln stood beside Tavia, as Madi left the twins alone and came over to them. "You made those?" Madi asked, her tone filled with amazement.
Ember nodded half-heartedly. "He wanted goggles so I made it for him. In return, Clarke cut his hair."
Clarke nodded. "That reminds me. Madi, let's go cut your hair. It's getting really long."
Clarke put her hand on Madi's shoulder. "We'll be back, Em."
Ember smiled and then moved over to the twins. Ember gave Tavia a smile as she placed her hands on the twins heads. "How was your walk, Tavia?"
Tavia looked up at Ember with a grin. The beanie on her head too big and almost sliding off. It was Madi's, but she had stopped wearing it and Tavia had taken it one morning and wore it everyday since. "Good!"
She wasn't nearly as social as Lincoln. He could ramble on for hours, and she would only talk if it was to Ember or Lincoln. She was shy around Madi and Clarke, even though she knew they her whole life. "That's good, I know Madi was excited to go for a walk with you."
Tavia nodded, poking the rim of the goggles as she giggled. "You look silly."
Lincoln swatted her hand away. "Says you!"
"Hey! Mommy!" Tavia turned to her quickly, and Ember sighed.
"Don't argue you two. Come on, let's go inside."
She placed her hands on their heads again, ruffling their hair before leading them inside. Clarke was standing near the back with Madi sitting down in front of her. She cut Madi's hair down to a few inches past her shoulders, humming as she worked.
Ember watched with a smile, guiding the twins to the corner where some paper and paints they'd made were. "Hey guys, how about you paint another picture? We can add it to the wall afterward."
Above each bed, there was artwork to liven the place up. Clarke's bed had the best artwork, and Lincoln and Tavia's the worst.
The twins sat down and started to paint, and Ember watched the two with a smile. "Mommy! You draw too!" Lincoln grabbed a piece of paper from the pile and placed it in the empty seat between the twins. "Sit next to me!"
Tavia looked up at Ember quickly. "No! Sit next to me!"
"She sat next to you last time!"
Ember pulled the empty seat out quickly and sat down in it. "Guys, look. I'm sitting next to both of you."
Lincoln looked at where she was sitting. "But you're sitting closer to her!"
She sighed, moving the chair over an inch. "I'm equally between you two," Ember said, then looked down at the paper in front of her. She looked above her own bed. All her drawings were terribly done of the same two people.
Today, she decided she'd draw Bellamy again. It wasn't good, all the good drawings were above Clarke's bed, but Ember knew who it was supposed to be, and that was enough for her and she started another drawing.
