Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years passed, two...
There was a stand off between Team Avatar and Zuko and the Imperial Fire Benders, Dai Li, and Yuyan Archers.
"ATTACK THE AVATAR AND THE TRAITOROUS PRINCE ZUKO!" Yelled the Imperial Fire Benders and Yuyan Archers. The Yuyan aimed their elite bows at the heroes. Suddenly Toph earth bended a wall to shield them from the arrows.
"WHY ARE YOU HELPING US?!" Yelled Sokka.
"Because I realized that I'm on the wrong side. I can get us out of here" Said Zuko as he shot a flaming ball at the soldiers.
"Why should we trust you, you betrayed us at Ba Sing Se!?" Yelled Aang.
"I know these catacombs and I can help you escape. I can teach you Fire Bender!" Yelled Zuko.
"LISTEN HEAR YOU IDIOTS, WE NEED TO GET OF HERE, AND FLAME BOY IS OUR ONLY HOPE OF GETTING OUT OF HERE ALIVE!" Yelled Toph.
"She's right we really don't have any other options!" Sokka yelled as he was dueling with a Fire Bender.
"Alright fine!" Aang was really happy about this but what choice did they have?
Aang conjured a tornado at the soldiers. Everyone went flying. But when the Fire Nation troops got back on their feet the Avatar and his friends were already a gone.
One of the Imperial Guards yelled, "After them, we can't let them escape!"
While that was happening, Zuko was leading the others into a secret tunnel.
"This way, we can we can escape through these tunnels" Zuko said as he held a flame in his palm as a torch.
"Woah what is this place, it's like a long tunnel" Sokka said in amazement.
"It is a long tunnel, one that hasn't been used in... 3,000 years" Zuko said as he look around to check for an escape route.
"What do you mean it hasn't been used?" Both Aang and Sokka said.
"This place was built 4,000 years ago. It was built by my ancient ancestor, Fire Lord Chūmon. He built this tunnel to get to Fire Sages Temple, it's been abandoned and forgotten due to fear of the place collapsing." Explained Zuko.
"So wait, you're saying, this place can collapse at any minute!" Sokka freaked out.
"Relax, my feet tells me that it's fine, unless someone finds us, but I wouldn't worry." said Toph.
(A few minutes later)
Aang and the others reach the surface. To their luck the Air Nomad's Bison Appa was nearby. They group flew to where Katara, her father, and the coalition was.
"Aang!" Katara ran and hug him. Suddenly she looked behind him and saw Zuko.
"AANG GET BACK ZUKO IS RIGHT BEHIND YOU!" Katara yelled as she summon water from her pouch.
"Katara wait." Sokka said to his sister.
"He helped us escape Katara, I think he's okay"
"He's right, Zuko just battled a group of Fire Benders to protect us" Aang said.
"Yeah and he's actually being honest." Toph reassured the group.
"Wait a minute, I feel like I'm forgetting something... I FORGOT ABOUT UNCLE!" Zuko started running towards the city prison.
"ZUKO WAIT!" Aang shout to the former Prince.
"Never mind him, LOOK!" Said a Souther Water Tribe solider.

A fleet of Large Airships and War Balloons hovered over the capital of Caldera.
"My invention..." Said the Mechanic
"We need to evacuate now!" Said Tyro.
"No they're heading for something else... THEY'RE HEADED FOR THE SUBS!" Sokka Yelled.
"What should we do?" Asked the blind earth bender Toph.
"We'll stay and fight... but I'm gonna go find Zuko" Aang said as he fly his glider-staff towards the city.
(At the Royal Prison)

(Aang's pov)
I flew to the prison. It's very hard to fly around while a about a million fire balls are shooting at you! I found Zuko in a cell. I approached him.
"He's gone" Zuko said.
"Who?"
"My uncle escaped." He than turn to me and told me that it was time to go.
I nodded and became to return to my friends. Zuko was right behind me while I was running. I hope everyone was okay...

The invasion force started marching back towards the capital. It was a desperate attempt to try to win the battle. Along the way they meet heavy resistance. Fire Nation Domestic Forces were everywhere in the streets. Yuyan Archers used the houses as Archer towers. The air fleet was bombarding it's own civilian houses. Reinforcements from the 11th Flame Army came to defend their capital city. Even the local population was enlisted as militia. They wouldn't give up easily. They're gonna defended every inch of Fire Nation territory from these invaders.

The sun was setting on the horizon... The Day Of The Black Sun was over but the Battle Of Caldera has just begun...
