Morning finally came.
Faint daylight seeping through the blinds. Noise from the rain against the windows. Warm feeling under the blanket. And a sleeping form in deep slumber next to her. Kim Namjoon himself. He stayed. Flashbacks of last night kept popping up in front of her eyes. If the flashbacks didn't testify of what happened last night, the pain in her lower body did, but she wasn't complaining. She felt complete. She finally knew what she was missing out on.
His eyes opened slowly as he was letting sleep roll off him and came back to consciousness. His eyes met hers; she had been admiring him ever since she woke up.
Namjoon: "Good morning, Na-Ri" he said with a raspy voice and sleepy eyes. He reached for a soft kiss on her forehead. He then engulfed her in a gentle, protective hug. The gesture made her smile contentedly.
Na-Ri: "Good morning Namjoon..."
He slightly moved back to be able to see her face and asked "How are you feeling? Are you feeling sore? I'm truly sorry if I went too rough on you..." he said in a soft voice laced with concern while rubbing her back.
"I'm fine, really" she replied with a smile, as she caressed his cheek. She scooted closer to him, laying her head on his chest. She continued: "It was...an amazing experience. I wouldn't change a thing. I didn't know what to expect even if I tried to imagine how it would be. But this..." she smiled, "this was something else, and I loved it" saying the end part almost in a whisper. Namjoon was looking at her with a smile. He couldn't deny the fact that he felt proud that she was gushing about his performance of the night before. But he was happier about the fact that her first time was memorable.
They stayed like that for a while. Later on, she stood up and made her way to the bathroom with a set of clean clothes and underwear, leaving Namjoon alone in bed.
NAMJOON's POV
She has just left to take a shower; she was so exhausted from last night that she literally passed out and went to sleep. I wondered if I should leave to go back to the dorm, but I reasoned that it wouldn't be gentleman-like behavior to leave right after it, so I decided to stay the night with her. I watched her sleep; she looked so peaceful, so beautiful. My mind couldn't stop going back to what we did moments ago. Without me knowing it, a smile was on my lips. One thing I was not looking forward to is the teasing and questioning I will get from the boys once I go back down.
-end of POV
Na-Ri came out of the bathroom dressed in a simple but cute outfit; a pair of white shorts with an oversized white t-shirt with a cute chibi character on it and the phrase "Sarang Me, oppa!" The catchphrase made Namjoon giggle. How can someone be so cute? She didn't feel awkward or anything. She turned to Namjoon and said, "I'll go and prepare us some breakfast if you want to eat something before you go". "Yes, that's nice of you, thank you" he replied.
As it was his turn to go take a shower, she stepped into the kitchen and prepared her version of an English breakfast with what she had available in her fridge. She put some music on and was humming to "Make It Right", as she was dancing and cooking at the same time. The smell of bacon and eggs filled the room and soon enough Namjoon was leaning against the doorframe looking at her dancing and singing to their song.
He still had wet hair and smelled of peppermint shower gel. He couldn't help but chuckle at the scene, which drew her attention and brought her back to earth. "Oh...you're here," she said feeling slightly embarrassed, a tint of pink adorning her cheeks. "Please, continue! Don't stop because of me!" he said with a hearty laugh.
He came closer to her, and gave her a back hug, resting his head on her shoulder, while looking at her cooking breakfast. It felt comfortable and natural. He then dug his nose into her neck before breathing in and giving her gentle kiss "You smell good, Na-Ri" he whispered. "You smell good too, peppermint, just like my shower gel" They both giggled at her comment.
They sat down for breakfast and started to have a light-hearted conversation about anything and everything. It felt comfortable until Na-Ri asked: "Sooooo... what happens now?" Namjoon cleared his throat and shifted in his seat before answering: "Well... erm... I guess the guys will decide who will come to you next" he said in a low voice. "I'll ask them to give you a few days to recover first". Na-Ri hummed in agreement. He was being considerate, and she appreciated that.
Namjoon seemed more uncomfortable than she was talking about their new arrangement. It's like she woke up as a new woman. She decided to own it, and not feel self-conscious about her new "job description". If it was a man in her shoes, would he feel embarrassed? Most likely not. That man might even brag. So why would she feel bad about it?
"I have a suggestion," said Na-Ri. Namjoon signaled for her to carry on with a nod of his head. "I'd like to spend some time with each member in small groups of two or three doing random activities, to break the ice a bit. I get to choose the location. What do you think?"
"That could definitely help! I know they are a bit stressed out about the whole thing, so trying to establish a closer relationship gradually in this way might be worth it. Na-Ri, the boys and I had countless conversations about this, and we still can't believe how lucky we are to have you."
After a short pause, looking at her with soft eyes, he said: "I know you've expressed how I made you feel last night, but I think I should also tell you how you made me feel..."
