When Luci woke up, he was rightfully confused. Michael and I explained everything to him. He wasn't too happy about me running away, but in the end, he was just glad everything worked out. He also got a proper look at Amelia. As soon as he saw her, he turned to mush. I never thought I'd get a chance to witness the Devil cooing at a baby. He loved her so much. I hardly got to hold her because of him. We held off on having other visitors while in the hospital; it would've been tiresome. The only other person who visited us was a photographer to get pictures of us in the hospital with Amelia.

After a week, I was finally discharged from the hospital. Michael helped pack our things and even brought my makeup tote and change of clothes for me.

"Because I officially registered you, the press got ahold of the fact that you delivered. They're swarming outside. I'll go pull the car up, so just get dressed and be ready to move. I already took care of the discharge papers," Michael explained. I sighed. For the week of being in the hospital, I completely forgot that we were basically celebrities. Michael left the room and I stood.

"I'm going to shower," I muttered. Luci smiled as he bounced Amelia gently.

"We'll be here," he smiled at me. He pecked my cheek gently before I went into the restroom. I showered quickly and ran a brush through my hair before letting it hand in waves to my shoulders. I applied a light layer of makeup before looking over the outfit Michael chose for me. I don't know if it was because of my small frame or the fact that I was a Nephilim now, but my figure came back quickly. A very unnoticeable small pooch was left. It could've been mistaken for a food belly. Although my breasts were definitely larger by two cup sizes. The dress Michael picked for me was a simple but elegant white, spaghetti-strap sundress with ruching fabric lining the v-cut and the waist of the dress. It was pretty yet refined. I pulled on the shoes before I walked back into the room. Luci smiled lovingly at me as I placed my toiletries and small makeup tote in my duffle bag.

"You look even more beautiful after giving birth," he said. I rolled my eyes but smiled anyway.

"I'm ready when you are," I said. He put the strap of my bag over one shoulder before both hands went back to Amelia.

"I can carry something," I offered. He shook his head at me.

"You worked so hard, the least I could do is carry everything out to the car. Plus, I don't want anyone getting too close to my precious daughter," he cooed at her.

"You mean our daughter?" I raised an eyebrow at him. He chuckled before he kissed my head.

"You know what I mean," he smiled easily. We walked out the room and took the elevator down to the ground floor. I could already see the madness that was going on outside. Michael was waiting patiently just inside the sliding glass doors. We walked out the door and the flashing began. Cameras were everywhere as questions were thrown our way.

"Louis! How does it feel to be a father?" Someone shouted.

"It's beyond words. I ask that you refrain from flash photography and give us a little space please. She was just born after all," he answered smoothly as we stood there. The reporters took a second to adjust their cameras before the clicking continued without the flash.

"Did you decide on a name?" A female reporter asked.

"Her name is Amelia," I smiled towards the cameras.

"Did you have a designer delivery? You look so thin," another reporter threw out. I chuckled before tucking my hair behind my ear on one side. Designer delivery, my ass. The whole thing was a nightmare, I wish I could've had it that easy.

"No. Luckily, no surgery was involved at all. I had her naturally. I guess I'm just one of the lucky ones," I answered.

"Are you still getting married? When is the wedding?" The same reporter asked.

"The date is set. We're just wanting to take time to adjust to being parents first," Luci answered.

"Who's the guy with you?" A reporter asked.

"That's my brother, Michael," Luci answered.

"Can we see Amelia?" A different female reporter asked. Luci cradled her gently in his arms and turned her face towards the reporters. Luckily she was still sound asleep. So far, all she did was sleep, eat, and poop. The cameras clicked off silently for a moment before Michael moved ahead of us to open the doors for us.

"We'll be going then," Luci said as he cradled Amelia in one arm and placed his other hand on my back to push me forward. The reporters respected our space and moved out of the way for us. I got in the backseat and Luci handed Amelia to me before he got in the front. Michael closed our doors. I unwrapped the blanket from around Amelia before sitting her in the car seat and buckling the straps. I released a heavy sigh as I finally put my own seatbelt on.

"I almost forgot about that," I said mostly to myself. Luci chuckled from the front seat.

"And now that the danger has passed and Amelia has arrived safe and sound. You can get back to your dream without anymore problems," Luci reminded me. I sighed as my gaze turned to Amelia.

"I don't know. For the time being, I just want to spend time with her," I replied.

"Well, whenever you're ready, it'll be waiting for you," he promised. We made it back to the house and Luci carried Amelia's car seat inside while Michael grabbed the bags. Michael unloaded everything as Luci unstrapped Amelia from her seat and sat on the couch with her. I sat on the couch too and just relaxed. I was worn out. Michael came down and sat in the recliner as he switched the TV on.

"Wait, now that Amelia is here, does that mean you're going back, Michael?" I suddenly remembered. He thought for a moment before he smiled lightly.

"I'll stick around a little longer and wait for word to spread so there won't be any more threats to you guys," he finally said. I couldn't help the smile that came to my face. I liked having Michael around. He was good company. Plus, with Michael and Luci, it felt like a complete set.
