It was finally the day.

I was getting married.

Luci hires a wedding planner and everything was taken care of while we still trained and took care of Millie. All I had to do was choose different options and everything else was pieces together. I even with dress shopping with Rose and Sarah. My mom and sister were here, and the cast of this show was star-studded. After I was dolled up and done with pictures, it was showtime. The doors opened and I began my slow walk down the aisle as everyone stared at me with a variety of emotions. So much had changed since I met Luci. After everything we went through, things finally fell into place. I glanced at my mother holding Millie with a small smile before I finally took Luci's hand under the archway. We agreed on an outdoor wedding. Having it in a church would've been a little too ironic. We planned our wedding far enough out that I would have my new powers mostly under control by now. It was getting easier, being a Nephilim. Which meant I started performing again, and doing what I loved. And now I knew what to teach Millie when she grew into her own powers.

My cheeks started hurting from smiling so much as the officiant pushed through our ceremony. After saying "I do" and finally being able to kiss each other to seal our vows, Luci took Millie from my mom and brought her with us back down the aisle as everyone cheered us on. In every sense of the word, I already felt like I was married to Luci, but now it was official.

The reception and after party pushed on as everyone celebrated and congratulated us. After a while, I stepped away from the party to a quiet place for a break. I sighed as I watched the stars in the night sky. I was far enough away that I wouldn't be bothered by anyone... or so I thought.

"Megan," I heard from behind me. I turned to see Michael walk towards me. I smiled as he finally reached me.

"Hey, Michael. What brings you out here?" I asked. He smiled sadly as he watched my face for a moment.

"I came to say goodbye," he finally said. I felt my smile drop as confusion set in.

"You're leaving? Why now?" I asked, getting more upset by the second.

"It's time for me to go. I was supposed to watch my brother and keep him out of trouble, but he doesn't need me because he has you and Millie now. Plus, me loving you would only cause more problems, so I'm being called back," he explained. I sighed before I wrapped my arms around him in a hug.

"I'm going to miss you, Michael. During this time, you were seriously my best friend," I muttered as I tried to keep myself from crying. Michael chuckled before he hugged me back.

"I'll still be watching over you from time to time, even though you may not realize it," he promised. He let go of me before placing a kiss on my forehead.

"Goodbye, Megan," he said softly. I felt a tear leave my eye and quickly tried to pull myself together.

"Come back and visit often. Millie can't miss out on knowing her super cool uncle," I said with a small courtesy smile. Michael waved to me one last time before he sprouted his wings and took off. I sighed as I watched him disappear into the dark sky.

"What are you looking at?" Luci asked as he came to stand beside me.

"Michael left," I answered.

"He won't really be gone," Luci tried to assure me. We stood staring at the sky for some time before Luci finally sighed.

"Oh right, you mom agreed to watch Millie for a few weeks so we can go on a honeymoon," Luci said with a smile.

"We're going on a honeymoon?" I asked. I wasn't really expected it. With everyone we had happen, I just assumed we wouldn't. Luci nodded excitedly before pushing his wings out and offering me a hand.

"Let's go," he said simply. I smiled before I pushed my wings out as well and took his hand. We flew up to the sky together. In the sky where I felt like a star.
