A/N: If you've read up to this point yay! I've managed to hold your attention! I forgot to mention it, but a while ago this story had one of those little number things under it's name. It was a high number (I think it was like 995), but it was still a number, so yay! Okay. I'm going to stop. Now for your not-so-regularly-scheduled reading.
“So what was the big deal earlier?” Markus asked.
I glared at everyone, “Nothing,” I said. “Mind your own business.”
The Captain sighed, “He’s your doctor. It’s his business.”
“I want to see a medical degree,” I said, shoving a pancake into my mouth.
Markus snorted, “Just like her mother,” he said.
“Shut up,” the Captain and I both said to Markus.
We glared at each other and Seth laughed, “I see it,” he said to Markus. “I definitely see it now.”
“Shut up,” Markus and the Captain said.
Ian giggled, “Dad. Yesterday, Kara and I decided we want to keep Ash. If you have any problems with that, you should voice them now and have five good reasons to back them up.”
Trip and Kelsey laughed, “That’s one way to change a conversation topic,” Markus said.
The Captain started at Ian in shock, “You can’t keep her. She’s a person. You can’t keep people.”
“Why not?” Ian asked as Kara pouted and raised an eyebrow.
“Because keeping people is against a lot of rules,” the Captain said.
“That’s one reason, we asked for five,” Ian turned to me. “We’re going to keep you.”
I laughed, “I’m okay with that, little man.”
Ian stuck his tongue out at his dad, “She’s okay with that. We get to keep her,” he said.
“My kid is the devil,” the Captain said. “That actual devil and he just stole Ashland’s soul.”
I laughed and messed up Ian’s hair, “I’m pretty sure someone that adorable can keep my soul. I’ll just borrow Seth’s when he’s not looking.”
“Like Kelsey and the adult guns?” Ian asked.
I laughed and Kelsey turned an odd shade of red, “Ian!” Kelsey said.
Taven laughed, “I was wondering where they went to,” he said.
The Captain sighed, “Stop breaking into the restricted floor,” he said. “Taven control your team.”
“Control them? That’s physically impossible,” Taven said with a grin.
Kelsey shoved a whole pancake into her mouth and grinned, “We’re just awesome like that,” Trip said, sticking his tongue out.
Taven sighed and threw his arms in the air as if Trip and Kelsey proved his point. Seth and I grinned, “We aren’t that bad,” Seth said. “We just have character.”
“You’re all insane,” the Captain said. “Why am I having breakfast with a group of insane people?”
“Cause you love me, Kara, Ash, Taven, Markus, Jack and Seth,” Ian said. “You even love Kelsey and Trip, but only a little bit.”
We all laughed as the Captain stared at Ian in horror, “You are an evil child,” he said. “How are you my child?”
Ian grinned at me and I smirked, “Well you see, when a mommy a daddy love each other very much-”
The Captain groaned, “Ashland!”
“They sleep in the same bed and kiss a lot-”
Markus pressed his lips together and tried not to laugh, “Ash…”
“Then one day magic elves that work at a factory break into their house and take some blood and tissue samples-”
Taven sighed, “You’re one twisted kid.”
I smirked, “And they put the stuff in a machine-”
“What stories did they tell you as a kid?” Jack asked.
“The machine makes babies and then-”
“This is taking an unexpected turn,” Seth mumbled.
“Shh. This is getting good,” Kelsey said.
“The babies get taken by the weird, creepy as flipping anything bird and the bird takes the kid to their parents. The parents keep the kid and the bird goes back to the factory,” I finished.
“What happens when they want more kids?” Ian asked.
“They sleep in the same bed and kiss a lot some more,” I said.
“I thought adults did that anyways,” Ian said.
I sighed, “They’ve got to want a baby,” I said. “Duh.”
“Oh,” Ian grinned. “That makes more sense.”
Markus sighed, “These kids are all going to be pretty screwed up when they’re adults.”
Jack laughed, “You mean they aren’t screwed up already?” He pointed at me, “She just said elves break into people houses and take samples of blood and tissue. That kid is messed up.”
I grinned, “Thank you!”
The kitchen was silent for a moment before everyone laughed and Markus sighed, “What is wrong with you?” he asked me.
I smirked, “Do you want something specific or should I just list everything?” I asked.
Taven laughed, “That’s a long list,” he mumbled.
I stuck my tongue out at Taven and flicked a piece of egg at him, “I know, but it makes me special.”
Seth laughed and leaned closer to me, “Very special,” he mumbled into my ear.
I looked over at Seth with a smirk and winked, “You know it’s awesome, admit it,” I whispered back.
“Maybe just a little,” Seth said with a smile.
Kelsey tossed a pancake at Seth and me, “What are you talking about?” she asked.
“It’s a secret,” Seth said with a smirk.
Kelsey laughed, “Flirting?”
We both shook our heads as Markus and the Captain looked at us in alarm, “Flirting? What does flirting have to do with anything?” the Captain asked.
We shrugged, “Kelsey said flirting, we were just discussing how Ash’s specialness makes her awesome,” Seth said.
“Ash’s her specialness makes her awesome?” Markus asked.
Seth shrugged, “She had some very good reasons.”
I grinned, “I always have good reasons. It’s another thing that makes me awesome.”
Markus sighed, “I’m sure,” he said.
I pouted, “You don’t believe me?” I asked.
Taven shook his head, “You’re too special to be awesome,” Jack said.
“You’re too special too,” I said.
“You’re both idiots,” the Captain said. “Now shut up and eat.”
