A/N: This story just hit 2,000 reads! Comments and votes are my favorite things! My friend has a ship name for Seth and Ash, it's Sash.

“You’re insane,” Trip said.

“Just a little,” I said. “Now poke this.”

“Why can’t you?” Trip asked.

“Because I can’t, if I electrocute myself I can’t keep working,” I held out the board. “Now poke it.”

Trip sighed and pouted, “I hate you,” he said before he took a deep breath and poked the board.

I laughed as Trip convulsed and fell to the ground, “Okay, this wire’s good. Don’t touch the wirey part, just the metal.”

Trip groaned, “No crap!”

“I’m sorry,” I said. “Thank you.”

Kelsey laughed from her spot in the doorway, “Did you just make him touch a live wire?”

I looked over, “I gave him a choice. He was just being helpful.”

Kelsey sighed, “He’s an idiot.” She walked over to Trip and grabbed his hand, “All better. You need to stop doing that,” she said.

Trip grinned, “It’s fun,” he said.

“It’s painful,” Kelsey said.

“Maybe he’s a masochist,” I said.

“That’s not something I want to think about,” Jack said.

I laughed as I went back to working on my project, “Then stop listening to our conversation,” I said.

Seth looked up from where he was working, “It’s kind of hard to not hear you. We’re all in the same room.”

Jack sighed, “I love your company, but why are you all here?”

Ian poked his head out from under the work table, “Cause we don’t want to train,” he said. “We did that this morning.”

“What about the rec room?” Jack asked.

Ian shrugged, “Zoey.”

“Library?”

Kelsey grinned, “Study time.”

“School work?”

Seth sighed, “We’re on a break.”

“Living rooms?”

“We’ve been banished,” Trip said.

Jack sighed, “I hate children.”

“No you don’t,” I said as Kara rested her head against my leg.

Jack groaned, “Evil little brats,” he said.

“Love you too,” Ian said with a sweet smile. Seth grinned and nodded to Ian, “You don’t hate us. You really love us, but it’s a hatey love.”

“Of course it is,” Jack said. “A hatey love.”

“Is that a technical term?” Trip asked.

Ian nodded, “It’s the most technicalest term ever,” he said.

“That’s not a word,” Jack said.

Trip stuck his tongue out, “You’re not a word.”

Jack sighed and we all laughed, “Go back to work,” he said, rolling his eyes.

Ian pouted, “Meany,” he said as he tapped my leg and handed me the part I needed.

I laughed, “Keep working, little dude,” I said.

“You keep working,” Ian said. “I’ve got all the stuff you need and I’m helping Kara with her picture.”

“Ash, what are you building?” Jack asked.

I smiled innocently, “Battery…?”

“Yeah right,” Seth said with a snort as he nodded to the part Ian was handing me. “You don’t need that for a battery.”

“I didn’t say what type of battery,” I mumbled as I attached the part.

Trip grinned and rolled under the table, “I want to help build the battery.”

Kelsey sighed, “If we lived on the outside, we’d all be in jail,” she said.

“That’s likely,” Seth said.

Jack sighed, “And we’d be bailing you out.”

I nodded, “That’s extremely likely.”

“Can I be in the jail too?” Ian asked.

“No,” Jack and Seth said.

Kelsey, Trip and I laughed as I stood up to get a screwdriver and the world started to spin, “Holy flips,” I mumbled as I grabbed the worktable.

“Ash? Are you okay?” Seth asked, grabbing my arm.

I nodded and grabbed my head, “Fine,” I mumbled as the pounding got worse.

Then, as Jack grabbed my other arm, what felt like a billion voices assaulted the inside of my head and the world went black.
