“Ashland, wakey wakey, Ash,” Seth whispered.

I groaned and pressed myself closer to the warmth that was next to me, “Shh…”

“Let her sleep, Seth,” Chance said from somewhere behind me. “You guys said she can’t cook, so she doesn’t have to be up now.”

The warmth next to me shifted and I grabbed it again, “No, stay,” I mumbled. “And shut up.”

Seth and Lee chuckled, “You’re bossy,” Lee said.

            “I know… now shhh…” I said.

“No,” Lee said in my ear.

I elbowed Lee in the stomach and shoved him off the bunk, “You are cruel,” I mumbled. “And I hate you.”

I felt the bed move as Lee jumped on and draped himself across Seth and me, “You don’t hate me,” he said. “You think I’m awesome.”

I sighed and looked at Seth and Lee, “Not right now. Right now, I’m planning your murder in my head.”

Seth looked over at Lee, “She can kill people with her mind,” he whispered.

            “Really?” Lee asked.

Seth shrugged, “I don’t know. She hasn’t tried.”

            “Yet,” I mumbled.

Chance laughed and I looked over at him, “Breakfast,” he said, holding up a pot of mush.

            “Chance can’t cook,” Seth said.

            Chance nodded, “I can’t cook.”

I laughed and Seth and I pushed Lee onto the floor, “I’ve probably eaten worse,” I said.

Seth laughed and Lee passed out paper bowls, “We’re out of spoons,” Lee threw plastic knives at Seth and I. “Those might work.”

I helped Chance pour the… its mush so I’ll call it mush. Anyways, the two of us poured the mush into everyone’s bowl and started trying to eat with the knives, “This does not work,” Chance said, throwing the knife at Lee.

Seth threw his knife at Lee too, “He’s right.”

I shrugged and kept eating with the knife, “It works.”

Lee grinned, “At least you’re nice,” he said.

Seth dumped his mush into his mouth, “Of course she’s nice. She has food.”

I threw my knife at Seth, “Shut up. I love food. Food makes me happy,” I said between bites.

Lee laughed, “Food makes me happy too,” he said.
