My Legacy

There is nothing in this world, but the proud!
Pride leads to death, misery, and more pains.
Where has peace, love, hope gone away to?
Why can't we follow after those feelings?
Has peace, love, and hope given up on us?
What have we done that caused this to be?
There is more to life than pain and misery.
What should we do to try to retrieve them?
Is there nothing that we can do about this?
My legacy will not be of pains or sorrows.
Who will join me in trying to fix this world
So full of toil, suffering, strife for the living?
