Chapter 17

It was Thursday, and we had been driving to visit Talia for 6 hours. We had planned to stay until Saturday, and then we would come back. Cole would stay with Connor and Ricky until we returned.

I had fallen asleep in the back of the car after about 3 hours of driving. Every 2 hours, the guys would swap. I was now sat in the back with Jc. My head leant on the window.

I woke up and reached for my night bag, which I had packed this morning. It was now 1.45pm and we would be arriving in about an hour.

I decided to tell Chelsea and Andrew I would be back in town.

To: Chels:)

Hey, I'm gonna be in town until Saturday. Kian and Jc are bringing me over. I'm going to visit talia today. We should catch up tomorrow. Tell Andrew too:) x

I got a reply a few minutes later.

From: Chels:)

Omg, yay. I can't wait, we have to hang out, I'll tell Andrew now. Can't wait to catch up with you, good look at the hospital. She doesn't remember us. I hope she remembers you though. Good luck. See ya tomorrow:) xx

I put my phone away and saw a sleeping Jc. I decided to try and sleep. I succeeded.

"Cassidy, wake up. We're here." Kian's voice said softly in my ear.

I opened my eyes and saw my hometown. We were staying in a hotel that was just inbetween my home and the hospital where Talia was based.

" what time is it?" I asked nobody In particular.

"4.15" Jc answered. Both the guys sounded tired.

"Do you two want to go to the hotel and sleep while I visit talia?" I asked.

I knew visiting talia might help her remember some things, although my mom said talia didn't remember who she was, which was quite upsetting.

"Uh, sure, I'll drive you there." Kian says.

"I'll go get the room then" Jc says, he gets our 3 bags out and heads into the hotel.

Kian begins the 20 minute drive to the hospital. When we reach it, I thank him and get out. I give him a kiss before he drives back.

I head inside and I walk up to the counter.

"Can I please visit Talia Hardy please?" I ask the lady.

"Can you confirm you are family?" She asks.

"I'm her best friend?" I say.

"Ok. Floor 2, room 206 it's on your left" she instructs.

"Thanks" I reply before heading to the elevator.

I wait till the elevator stops before I head to Talias room. I check the names on the doors and I find hers.

'Talia Hardy. 18'

I see she's alone at the minute. I knock. She looks towards the door and looks down at her hands. I enter.

"Talia" I say softly.

"Hey" she replies quietly.

I enter further and take the seat to her left.

"I'm Cassidy, we were- are best friends" I tell her.

"Oh. Do you know Chelsea and Andrew I think they were called, they said they were best friends too." She tells me.

"Yeah. We were all best friends." I say.

"I can't remember you three, I'm sorry." She says.

"Is there anything I can tell you that might help?" I ask. I feel a tear slip down my cheek.
