The next morning, Elizabeth woke up to the sun hitting her face once again. "Why does my window face my bed? Why did I think that was a good idea?" She asked herself, groggily sitting up.
She looked at her phone to see the time, it was 9:03. "I guess I better get up then." She then stood up and headed down stairs for breakfast.
"Now that's better, you're awake at the right time." Veronica joked, making Elizabeth laugh as she took out a cereal box and started pouring it in along with milk.
"Good morning, Elizabeth. You locked yourself in your room after dinner last night, we couldn't ask you about your date." Margaret entered the kitchen.
Elizabeth sat on one of the chairs on the counter, "What do you want to know?"
"How was it?" Margaret asked, sitting on one of the chairs in front of her. "It was nice, we went to drink coffee, watch a movie and get a snack."
"Oh, a nice and normal date. How cute." Margaret commented, "Who is this young man, then?"
"I think Veronica will know him? He's Meliodas Drakon." As soon as Elizabeth said that name, Veronica came running to them.
"Did I hear Drakon?" She asked, "Yeah, that was her date, why?" Margaret asked, making Veronica sit next to her.
"Dude, he's like the most popular guy in school that Elizabeth just ignores everyday." Veronica rolled her eyes, Elizabeth chuckled. "Guilty."
"He used to be my classmate before I changed schools, he was quite a guy." Veronica said, almost dreamily. "You have a boyfriend, Veronica." Elizabeth reminded.
Veronica snorted, "I know, I caught you getting a little jealous though."
Elizabeth rolled her eyes, "Yeah, sure." After finishing her cereal, she quickly washed the dishes and stretched. "Diane's coming over today."
"Alright, I'll be going out today." Margaret told them, "So will I." Veronica said, standing up.
"I guess i'll have the house to myself then." Elizabeth shrugged, then proceeded to go to her room and took a quick shower before changing into shorts and a grey sweater.
She then headed to her bed and checked her phone, she received a text from Diane saying she'd be there by 10 am. It was already 10 am.
Elizabeth proceeded to go down stairs and went to the living room to wait for Diane to knock on their door.
"Hey Elizabeth! Can you help me out for a sec?" Veronica called from her room, Elizabeth stood up and entered her sister's room.
"A black leather jacket or a maroon leather jacket?" She asked, holding up two of her leather jackets in the air.
"Hold on, where are you going?" Elizabeth asked. "On a date, so I wanted to look nice for once."
Elizabeth laughed, "for once?"
"I usually look ratchet, okay?" Veronica told her, making Elizabeth laugh louder.
"Use the maroon one." Elizabeth told her, Veronica nodded. "Thanks."
She headed back to the living room to hear the door knocking. Elizabeth looked through the peep hole and saw Diane outside.
Elizabeth opened the door and Diane hugged her, she entered and the two of them proceeded to sit on the couch. "Tell me all about what ever you need to tell me after my sisters leave, okay?"
Diane nodded, "Diane's here!" Elizabeth announced, for her two sisters to hear. And almost in sync, the two said: "Hi Diane!" in their separate rooms.
Diane laughed and looked at Elizabeth. "You have food?" Elizabeth stood up and got chips out of the cup boards and put it on top of the coffee table.
"I love this house." Diane grinned, opening one of the chips and slowly devoured them.
After some time, while the two there on their phones scrolling and finding memes on the internet, Veronica and Margaret were ready to head out.
"We're heading out." Margaret told them and then proceeded to leave. "Be safe!"
After hearing the gate close, Elizabeth went on to lock the door, "Okay, tell me about him."
"Meliodas Drakon, right?" Diane asked, she nodded. "Let's start with his popularity. He's the basketball team's captain ball."
"What? but he's short." Elizabeth said, confused. "That's what you think, he's that good at it."
"He also has a little brother, his name's Zeldris." Diane told her, "Yeah, he told me about him."
"Did he tell you about school?" Diane asked, "What topic about school?"
"He doesn't really go to school often, but he's always cramming and always gets his work done. He's an athlete but he always has to work for it so he's always doing extra activities.", "Oh, wow."
"He's also an achiever, like his brother. I really don't get how those things work, since we barely get anything done without stressing our asses off because we're always clueless." Diane laughed, making Elizabeth laugh as well.
"But we get the job done and get a decent grade." Elizabeth made finger guns and so did Diane.
"I remember you mentioned his best friend?" Diane asked, she nodded. "Did he have red eyes and weird pale blue hair?"
"That's actually spot on, yeah." Elizabeth nodded, "Yeah, well, here's the thing. King is actually best friends with Ban and Meliodas."
"How come we never hung out?" Elizabeth asked, "Meliodas goes to school on days where he wants to and Ban is just scary sometimes, King didn't think it was the right time. But I did meet them."
"Ban's nice, he's just really tall and intimidating.", "I saw."
"But you being oblivious of their existence just amazes me." Diane face palmed, Elizabeth shrugged.
"For Meliodas? He's a nice guy, but he's just always missing. I don't think he's bad for you, it's just that we don't know so much about him." Diane told her.
"So do I give him another chance with a second date?' Elizabeth asked, Diane's eyes went wide. "He got your number?!"
"Actually, I got his." Elizabeth laughed nervously. Diane face palmed, "Of course you did."
"I mean, did it feel right?" Diane asked, Elizabeth nodded. "Yeah, it did."
"Then go for it!" Diane encouraged, "Is this just something to make me to try dating or are you actually supportive."
"Both."
Elizabeth laughed, "I'll think about it. I'll tell you when I actually do it."
