Zeldris opened the door for her and they both entered. "I'm sorry I had to come over on such a short notice, and we've only just met, too."
"It's okay, really. You get to sleep in one of the guest rooms on the second floor and Meliodas is in his room." He gave her a smile and headed to the kitchen.
Elizabeth slowly walked up the stairs, she didn't really know what she was getting herself into. She was entering a guy's room for the first time.
She stood in front of the door opposite to Zeldris' and knocked before slowly opening it. She saw that Meliodas was sitting on his bed. He heard the door and saw her peeking in and he gave her a smile. "Come on in."
Elizabeth slowly entered the room and looked around, Meliodas' room was surprisingly aesthetically pleasing. Playing around with the colors white, black and grey.
"You can leave your bag anywhere on the ground." Meliodas told her, she carefully put her bag down and still looked around. He noticed this and laughed, "it's like you've never seen a room before, Elizabeth."
Elizabeth was cut off her trance and looked at him, she suddenly blushed. "Sorry, it's my first time in a boy's room, feels weird."
"What's the difference with a girl's room?" Meliodas moved over for her to sit next to him. "Well, i'm the type of girl that needs a mirror out for me to try and actually look like a human being everyday."
Meliodas laughed, "But you are a human being.", "Exactly."
The two ended up laughing, "You have a nice room." Was all she said before they turned quiet.
"What happened?" Meliodas asked, after getting too uncomfortable with the silence.
Elizabeth sighed, "Remember when you called me earlier?" He nodded, "Yeah, you sounded pissed."
"Well, before that, my mother called. She called to ask how I was, I hung up on her.", "Why?"
"She left us 10 years ago. Like, just poof. Gone." Elizabeth shrugged.
Meliodas just listened and stared at her as she continued. "It was the first time she called in 10 years and she seemed so casual about it. I got pissed because of how she just called me and my sisters out of the blue as if she was always there for us."
"Why did she leave?" Meliodas asked, Elizabeth looked at him then proceeded to lay on her back. "Well, I was told that she wasn't ready to have children. She felt trapped with us, she wanted to be free, she wanted to be something more than just a mother of 3 girls."
"But my oldest sister was 12 that time!" She exclaimed, "She gave some bullshit excuse just to leave us. She abandoned us! She left without saying anything to us, she just left the next morning without even saying saying goodbye!"
"And what, she comes back with a "I just wanna check on my youngest daughter" Bullshit!" Elizabeth exclaimed, getting a bit more angry every second.
Meliodas on the other hand was taken aback by the amount of swear words he's heard from Elizabeth in a short amount of time. He certainly saw a different side of her today.
"She didn't leave yesterday, she left years ago! She can't just come back and do that!" She continued to vent. "Father just had to give her our numbers."
"She probably has an amazing life out there, why'd she come back to the people who trapped her." Elizabeth rolled her eyes.
"What about your father? Where is he?" Meliodas asked, "He's in America, he's a businessman so he travels a lot. But he checks up on us at times, usually through Margaret. At least he's there for us."
