Elizabeth couldn't say no to Meliodas. So, she had to endure the stares from the students in the hallway as they left.

Meliodas felt the sudden tension as they walked, Elizabeth was never like that when they walked together before.

Maybe she's having second thoughts about me?

He then looked down, starting to worry. What if what he was thinking was true?

After they left the school premises, the two of them stayed silent. Many things ran through both their minds that made them forget that they were next to each other.

First to snap out of it was Meliodas, "Hey." He looked at her, making her turn her head at him. "Oh, sorry. I was thinking about things."

Meliodas rose his brow, "What kind of things?"

Elizabeth hesitated a bit, making Meliodas worry more. Hesitation wasn't a good sign. "What is it?" His voice laced with concern, making her give in.

"Are you sure about me?"

Her question just made his heart drop, "What are you talking about? Of course I am!"

His answer made her look away from him. "I mean, I just realized earlier today that i'm basically a nobody." She chuckled, but her chuckle didn't match her tone.

"Who cares? I know I don't nor do my friends." Meliodas told her, she was silent. "What is it, Elizabeth?"

"Everybody else cares." She spoke silently, but he heard loud and clear. Meliodas stopped walking, making her stop as well and face him.

"I'm a nobody, Meliodas. No one knows I exist and I having a thing going on with one of the popular boys in school."

"So what? They don't know anything." Meliodas told her, making her sigh. "That's the point, I.. just, I don't know."

"Are you having second thoughts?" He asked, his usual neutral face was now filled with worry and a hint of pain.

This time, Elizabeth felt her heart drop. She walked close to him and held his shoulders, "What? No. Never."

"Then what are you saying?" He asked, looking down at his shoes. Elizabeth's never seen him like this, she always saw him smiling but now, he was just so down.

"I just, I was worried that you wouldn't want to be with me because of everyone else's comments about us. I let the people get to me and I just couldn't stop thinking about it." Elizabeth told him, trying to comfort him.

Meliodas still looked down, "I told you, I don't care if you're a nobody. I don't care if you didn't know I existed. I don't care. All I care about is now, and it's with you."

What he said just made her heart melt. She hugged him tightly, "I'm sorry, I doubted myself that I wouldn't be enough for you."

Meliodas hugged her back, "You'll always be enough for me, you should know that. I know that having a thing with me is going to be a problem with the other girls, but don't worry."

He let go, looking at her in the eyes. "You're the only girl I want, okay?'

"You worried everyone at lunch today." Meliodas told her, making her chuckle nervously. "I was sure that I didn't look troubled."

"Well, 0 in acting." Meliodas chuckled, making her laugh.  "That's much better, it felt wrong without you smiling."

Elizabeth blushed, smiling. He smacked his arm, "Stop that."

Meliodas rose his brow, smirking. "Stop what?"

She gave up and rolled his eyes, "Anyway, you mentioned last time that Ban was good at cooking?"

Meliodas remembered what Ban told him, "Oh, right! He wanted to cook with you sometime, you can talk to him tomorrow. I'm sure he'll enjoy cooking with someone who can actually make edible things."

She rose her brow, "You can't cook?"

"Have you seen me around the kitchen? Zeldris never lets me cook." Meliodas chuckled. "But you work in a cafe."

"Being a barista and following a recipe and being supervised by Natalie is different than me going solo in making something at home." Meliodas told her, making Elizabeth laugh.

"I guess that's why Zeldris wanted me to stay there, his brother can't cook." She made fun of him, making him blush in embarrassment.

"Come on! Cut me some slack, I tried to learn but I just end up making Zeldris and anyone else who taste it get sick." He defended himself, making her laugh again.

"Let me guess, you can't see the difference in sugar and salt?" She asked. He nodded slowly, "They look the same."

This made Elizabeth laugh louder, "I wonder what kinds of things Ban will start telling me."

Meliodas just realized what he was going to go through if Ban told her every single embarrassing story he knew.

And it was a lot.

"Wait! I'll be ruined!" He exclaimed, "Makes me want to know more." She told him, still laughing.

Meliodas whined as he tried to stop her from conversing with Ban or even cook with him now.

She was going to learn things about Meliodas, and she was not going to be ready at the embarrassing stories that Ban had in stored for her.

The idea just made Meliodas regret everything, "Promise me you won't try to leave me when he tells you the stupid shit I've done."

Elizabeth laughed before nodding, "Yes, I promise. Don't worry, I'll make sure I won't tell you what he'll tell me."

Meliodas' eyes widened, "What? No tell me after! What if he says some random thing that isn't true and you'll believe it? I have to defend myself!"

"Have you done that much to be so ashamed?" She asked, making him nod. "So, i'm telling you this now. I'm not proud of the stupid and embarrassing things I've done."

When Meliodas successfully walked her home, she was about to open the gate when he stopped her. "Hey, Elizabeth."

He looked back and saw that Meliodas was in front of him. "Can you bend down a little?"

She was confused, but she did. And when she did, Meliodas kissed her forehead. "See you tomorrow."

Elizabeth's face was like a comparison to a tomato, she held her forehead as a smile was plastered on her face. She watched as Meliodas walked away and went home.

What they two of them didn't know, someone saw them.
