The next day, Meliodas could finally get out of bed and go to school. He still limped, but he could manage.

But Zeldris didn't take any chances, so he called a cab for his brother because he planned to run to school.

"Oh, c'mon, i'm being treated like the little brother. This is no fun~" Meliodas whined, making Zeldris roll his eyes.

"Yeah, well you're acting like one. Now go." He shooed his brother out and watched as he went in the cab and headed to school.

As soon as Meliodas got to school, he slowly walked up the stairs. As he quietly walked, he heard whispers around him.

He was popular, remember?

Meliodas walked passed the floor below them slowly, he didn't want to suddenly make his already recovering ankle to get worse.

"Meliodas! Are you okay?" One of the students in the hallway asked. Meliodas simply smiled at the girl, "Yeah, thanks for asking." He didn't continue the conversation, he just continued to walk.

Two more girls approached him, "Would you like us to help?" Meliodas looked at the two girls and he didn't know who they were, he just politely shook his head as a no.

He felt as the girls slowly walked away and he sighed in relief. But he suddenly felt someone tap his shoulder, "I'm fine, I can--,"

Meliodas stopped talking as soon as he saw Elizabeth smiling at him. "I don't take no for an answer, Meliodas."

"Don't you have classes?" Meliodas asked as Elizabeth helped him get up the stairs. "Our classes start at the same time."

"Oh, right." Meliodas chuckled. They stopped at the front of their door, which was open so they could see Elizabeth with Meliodas.

"Hey! You made it!" Ban exclaimed, putting everyone's attention at the door, where the two were.

Elizabeth suddenly felt shy and let go of Meliodas, "I have to go back to class, see you." She gave him a smile and left.

Meliodas entered the room, slightly blushing. "Dammit Ban." He told him, causing Ban to laugh. "Sorry~ I saw the chance and took it~"

"That your girlfriend?" One of his classmates, Gowther, asked him. His question made him chuckle. "Not yet."

"Oh~" Ban gave him a grin, "Yet~

Elizabeth walked back to her classroom, but on the way there, she heard whispers. She remembered Meliodas' social status and Diane's warning when it came to being involved with him.

Who is she?

Why didn't she get pushed away?

What's so special about her?

Elizabeth finally realized how self deprecating people's words can be. She just looked down until she got to her classroom.

Diane noticed Elizabeth's aura once she entered the room. Worried, she approached her. "Hey, what happened?"

"I finally experienced what you felt when you started dating King." Elizabeth told her as she sat down. Diane frowned, "Don't get discouraged, okay?"

Elizabeth looked at Diane and nodded, "Yeah, I'll try." Diane pat her back and headed to her seat as soon as the bell rang.

Elizabeth promised herself that she shouldn't think about it. But all she did the whole time during class was to think about it.

"Elizabeth." She heard Diane call. Elizabeth snapped back to reality and saw Diane standing in front of her. "It's already lunch time. You were thinking about it, weren't you?"

Elizabeth sighed, "Yeah, I was. Sorry."

"What's with the gloomy face, Elizabeth?~" Ban's voice caused them to look at the door. Elizabeth saw Meliodas' concerned face, she smiled at him in order for him not to worry.

"I just forgot my homework." She lied, "I did a good job on it too." She lied again.

"Should we go get lunch?" Diane asked, backing her up. The three nodded and they all headed to the cafeteria.

Now that Elizabeth was aware of the people talking about her and Meliodas, she noticed the stares from the other students in the halls.

She was fully aware of what she was getting herself into, and she was scared.

Meliodas noticed that all Elizabeth did the whole time they headed to the cafeteria was look around nervously and looking down at the floor or at her hands.

He wanted to ask, but he couldn't. It seemed like the wrong time to ask, so he just dropped it for now.

Ban and King noticed it too. They weren't clueless, they could feel how uneasy Elizabeth was. But they weren't sure if it was right to ask.

When they got to the cafeteria and started eating, usually, Elizabeth would be sitting in between Meliodas and Diane, but today, she went all the way to the edge, next to Ban.

Now everyone but Diane was confused. While everyone else was eating and talking, Ban glanced at Elizabeth, who was eating quietly.

Ban slightly nudged her and she looked up at him. "You okay?~"

Elizabeth only smiled at him, "Yeah, just a lot on my mind." And put her head back down after.

Ban was slightly concerned by her behavior. They haven't been friends for a long time but Ban knew that there was something going on with her, and he was worried.

Meliodas noticed the two share a small conversation and Ban caught him staring. Ban gave him a look that Meliodas understood almost immediately.

Talk to her~

The day ended quickly. Most of the things that went on Elizabeth's mind was the same the whole day, even after lunch. She couldn't just stop thinking about it for some reason.

She talked about it with Diane during classes but they got nowhere when it came to making her stop.

Diane didn't know what else to tell her because for her, she was used to it because she and King had been dating for months now.

When they were dismissed, Elizabeth told her that she was going home for the day and wasn't able to hang out. Diane understood and both of them left the room.

Only to see King and Meliodas waiting outside.

"Meliodas? What are you doing here?"

He gave her one of his famous grins, "I'm walking you home. Slight limp or no limp."
