The next day was a Monday, a day that Elizabeth always detested. Elizabeth woke up to her alarm that she had to put to snooze 3 times.
It was already 6:45, her class started at 9. Elizabeth groaned as she sat up and took her phone from it's charger and ran down stairs to be greeted with her cereal box and a box of milk prepared for her.
She took out a bowl and quickly poured herself some cereal. After quickly eating her breakfast, she then rushed to wash her dishes and ran back up stairs.
Elizabeth looked at her phone, it was 7 am. She was about to enter the bathroom when she realized that her bag wasn't even ready.
Not having another thought, she ran in the bathroom. She had to make sure that even if she would be late, she would still be fresh and clean.
So, when Elizabeth was done with her bath, she ran out and took out her uniform that consisted of a white long sleeve blouse and a black skirt that was above her knees.
Today was one of the days that she thanked that her school's uniform wasn't too complicated. After tucking in her blouse, she quickly brushed her hair and then went to her bag that was resting next to her bed.
Elizabeth threw a notebook in her bag and a few random pens in her bag, along with her headset, her power bank and her ID.
"I don't really need anything else, right?" She asked herself, not getting a response from anyone.
She just shrugged and went down the stairs and yelled, "I'm heading off to school!" In a rushed tone, she could hear Veronica laugh from her room.
"Be safe." Margaret went out of her room and Elizabeth waved, putting on her black shoes and dashing out.
Elizabeth checked her phone and it was 8:15. "What!? All that took more than an hour?" She exclaimed, fast walking to her school.
Lumiere High wasn't very far, Elizabeth would be able to walk to her school in 30 minutes. so with her rushing to get there, she'f be there in 15 minutes or so.
But her problem was she had to go through flights of stars, her class was on the third floor.
Elizabeth had reached her school, with 15 minutes to spare. She took a breath, "You can do this, just a few flights of stairs."
She then entered the premises of the school and headed to the stairs, she walked up them without looking at anyone or anything.
There was a goal for her, to reach class before the bell rings.
Elizabeth was going too fast and accidentally bumped into someone. She didn't look at who it was, but instead, she just said a quick apology and ran up the stairs like she was being chased.
When she was on the third floor, she could see her room. She sped towards it and once she opened the door, the bell rang.
"You look like a wreck, Elizabeth!" Diane told her as she sat on her chair. Elizabeth took a deep breath. She saw a bottle of water next to her table that was untouched.
"Who owns this? It's mine now, thank you." Elizabeth announced as she chugged the drink down her throat.
"That was actually mine, but alright." Diane shrugged, "You look like a mess, you know the teacher's out for the day, right?"
Elizabeth slowly looked at Diane with a brow raised, "excuse me?"
"Yeah, you didn't check the group chat did you? She announced it." Diane told her, making her sigh in disappointment. "I rushed all the way here~"
"I can tell. Come with me, let's go to the bathroom." Diane stood up as she took out her make up kit and dragged Elizabeth to the bathroom.
As they got to the bathroom, Elizabeth stood in front of the mirror and looked at herself. She looked terrible. She gave Diane a look that she understand too well.
With a hair brush, powder and a bit of lipstick, Elizabeth was looking decent. "That's better! C'mon, let's get back." The two of them fixed everything they had and left the bathroom.
Elizabeth suddenly noticed the stairs near the bathrooms, the stairs that led to the 12th graders' floor. "Hey Diane, I need to check something for a bit. Can you wait for me in the room instead?"
"Sure." Diane shrugged, heading off to the classroom. Elizabeth slowly went up the stairs, getting nervous each step of the way.
She was nervous and she didn't know why. Maybe it was because she's never been there before or maybe because she could probably meet Meliodas again.
Elizabeth took a deep breath and walked around the empty hall, it was first period after all. She walked past the rooms and looked for his section.
She easily found it though, it was the first classroom. 12-l' éclair.
She walked past it to seem like she was only passing by but she took a glance and saw a boy with pale blue hair staring at her direction. Elizabeth got freaked out and ran back down the stairs.
But as soon as she did, she bumped into someone and almost fell over. The boy caught her with one hand before her face could collide with the floor.
"T-Thank you." Elizabeth said once she was on her feet, she looked at her savior and emerald eyes met her eyes. Oh no.
"M-Meliodas." She stuttered, "Elizabeth, what are--" He was cut off by her running off, "Sorry, I have to get to class!"
Elizabeth sped back to her room and as soon as she did, she hid her head under her arms. Her face was an imitation of a tomato.
"Hey, what happened?" Diane asked, worried. Elizabeth groaned, raising her head.
"I'm so embarrassing."
