Meliodas headed to the back and changed into his uniform. Once he got out, a girl clung to his arm. "I saw your date the other day~!"

"Yeah, sure Jenna." Meliodas chuckled, Jenna released his arm and smirked at him. "You like her, don't you?"

"Is it that obvious?" Meliodas grinned, putting on an apron. "There are up coming customers, you two." Natalie told the two of them.

"Yes ma'am." Jenna laughed, leaving the counter and cleaned the messy tables. Meliodas headed to the cashier and took orders.

"Good choice taking her here." Natalie told him while he was waiting for more customers. "The girl loves her coffee."

"And she still had no idea who I was." Meliodas chuckled, "Maybe because you were always the barista?"

"That's true, today's one of the rare times i'm at the register." Meliodas shrugged, "I guess today's your lucky day." Natalie told him, making him rise his brow.

The door chimed, indicating that someone entered the cafe. "Welcome to--." Meliodas cut himself off as Elizabeth entered.

Elizabeth looked up and faced the cashier. "One-- Meliodas?"

"I'm sorry Elizabeth, but our barista isn't for sale." Natalie laughed, making Elizabeth blush, "Wait-- no that's not what I meant!"

"Mhm." She chuckled, leaving the two alone. "Wow, excuse my boss." Meliodas sighed, "She saw us the last time."

"Wait, you work here?" She asked, Meliodas nodded. "I really wonder why you've never seen me, ever."

"Now it makes sense! I remember when I first saw you, you looked familiar." Elizabeth exclaimed. "So you found me familiar in my workplace but not in school?" Meliodas laughed.

"You have a point." Elizabeth face palmed. "But hey, I'll just have something to go. I have to go back."

"Ah, alright. Iced Mocha?" Meliodas asked, Elizabeth nodded. "Explains why you knew about the coffee."

"Quite creepy." Elizabeth commented, Meliodas shrugged. "First impressions are important, what more to creep out your date."

Elizabeth rolled her eyes as she gave her payment and went to go get a seat while she waited for her coffee. While she did that, Meliodas made her drink since there weren't many customers at the time.

It didn't take long for him to finish it and put it on the counter. "Chimken!" He called, making Elizabeth snap her head at him with a glare.

Elizabeth stood up and took her drink, still with a glare. Meliodas chuckled as she did so, all the way to the door. "Thank you!" He called, before she got out.

"He's in love." Jenna whispered to Natalie, she nodded. "Totally."

Meliodas looked back at the two girls staring at him, "What?"

"That was cute, Meliodas." Natalie tapped his shoulder and went in the kitchen. Meliodas couldn't seem to take the smile off his face. And before he knew it, they were closing up.

"Good work today." Natalie told her crew before they left to go home. It was 10 pm, and Meliodas walked to his house as he put on his earphones.

He walked rather quickly because it was already late and he had homework to rush in the morning. "I wonder if Zeldris cooked dinner."

He opened his phone to text Zeldris but he was met by a message from an unknown number.

You spelled Chimken wrong, you spelled it as chickem.

Meliodas laughed at the message.

Elizabeth?  this you?

He didn't get a response after that, "Probably fell asleep." Meliodas told himself before putting his phone in his pocket and walked home.

Once he got home, he unlocked the door and saw that Zeldris was still in the living room watching Netflix while doing homework. "Someone's on their multi-taking game." Meliodas chuckled, putting his bag on the sofa.

"How was work?" Zeldris asked, not looking at him as he wrote an essay. "It was fine, Elizabeth just suddenly popped up though."

Zeldris took this chance to smirk and look up at his brother, "Oh, did she now? How did that go?"

"She was caught off guard and accidentally said 'One Meliodas'" Meliodas laughed, making Zeldris face palm. "Please tell me Natalie made a joke."

"She did, it was embarrassing really." Meliodas chuckled, taking out his phone and checking if Elizabeth had replied, she didn't.

"Oh yeah, is a second date happening?' Zeldris asked, looking back at his paper. "Yeah," Meliodas exhaled, relaxing on the couch.

"Don't sleep there, dumbass. Don't you have homework?" Zeldris asked, Meliodas chuckled."Of course I do, but i'm not doing that tonight."

"When are you, then?" Zeldris asked, Meliodas shrugged. "In the morning?"

Zeldris sighed, "Okay, no. Do your homework, I feel like the older brother here."

Meliodas chuckled, rolling his eyes. "Yeah, okay." He stood up and took his bag and went to the kitchen.

"I made dinner, by the way." Zeldris told him, Meliodas opened the fridge and took out the left over dinner and heated it. Once he was done eating and cleaning up, he headed upstairs. "You lock up this time."

Zeldris just nodded, continuing to write as he laughed hearing the jokes on the TV.

Meliodas opened his door and sat on his bed, as much as he wanted to go to sleep, he did have homework.

He opened his bag and took out a notebook and began to work. Meliodas was smart, a few equations and a 300 word essay didn't bother him.

Meliodas often checked his phone, to check the time and also to check if Elizabeth may have been suddenly awake. Every time, there were no messages.

When Meliodas was finally done with his homework, Zeldris knocked on his door. "Hey, i'm heading to bed. Night.", "Yeah, night Z."

Meliodas checked the time, it was past midnight. "Yeah, no way is she still awake." Meliodas chuckled, changing into his pajamas and heading to bed.

Ping!

Hey, yeah it's me. Sorry I didn't reply quickly, my phone got lost in my bed sheets and I had homework to do. I'll be off to bed, night!

Meliodas couldn't help but chuckle, "It was a good idea to do homework today."

Yeah, me too. Night.
