"How are you?" Her mother asked through the phone, but Elizabeth didn't know what to say.

"Veronica and Margaret aren't home yet." Was all she said, in a cold tone. "Yes, I've tried calling them but I guess they're still studying."

"One of them isn't studying anymore." Her mother didn't reply to that, both of them were silent for a while.

It got awkward and Elizabeth didn't like it, "What is it that you needed, mother?"

"I just wanted to check on my youngest daughter, that's all." Elizabeth furrowed her brows, "After 10 years? No thank you." She ended the call and immediately blocked her number and continued to make dinner.

Once she was done making dinner, she took her own plate and ate alone. As she ate, her phone rang again. She got annoyed and answered the phone, "What is it this time? I already blocked--","Elizabeth?"

"Oh my, I'm so sorry Meliodas. I thought you were someone else." Elizabeth sighed in relief. "It's okay, but who did you think I was?"

"No one. Why did you call?" She asked, "Oh, I just wanted to know if you were okay. I guess I called at the wrong time?"

"Wait! No, I'm sorry. I was just pissed, can we just talk on Monday? We can text for now. I'm so sorry." She apologized, "It's totally fine, I'll text you later." with that, Meliodas hung up and Elizabeth groaned in annoyance.

Elizabeth was in her room, waiting for her sisters to get home to talk about the call that she received from her mother.

"Elizabeth, We're home!" Veronica announced as soon as she and Margaret got in. Elizabeth was in a middle of a game and decided to finish it before heading down stairs.

As soon as her game ended, she went down stairs with her phone in hand. She saw her sisters eating dinner, she gave them a pissed off look and they looked at her in confusion.

"You rarely look pissed, what happened?" Veronica asked, "Mom called."

The two sisters, who were peacefully eating dinner completely stopped. "What?" Margaret asked, checking her phone. "Oh my, she did. I wasn't able to check my phone all day at work."

Veronica looked at Margaret's phone and then took out hers. "Shit, she really did. I was at practice all day I couldn't even touch my phone."

"She called me while I was making dinner, how did she even get our numbers?" Elizabeth asked, her sisters shrugged and thought for a moment.

"Father."

"Why would he give our numbers to her?" Veronica exclaimed, slamming her hands on the table.

Margaret sighed as she fixed the plates and washed them quietly. "I mean, we all know he still loves her."

Veronica got silent, taking a deep breath. "But he knows we're not really big fans of her anymore."

"Maybe he thought that we'd be over it." Margaret reasoned. She was always the voice of reason in the household, she would always do this if there was any kind of problem. She wasn't the type to lash out and get mad.

"Obviously, we're not." Elizabeth replied. Veronica groaned, "Do we talk to father then?"

In an instant, Margaret took out her phone and immediately called their father, after a few rings, he picked up and was on speaker. "Margaret! It's a bit late, my dear, what is it?"

"Father, we just had calls from mother, how did that happen?" Veronica spoke before Margaret could even greet him.

Bartra wasn't even taken aback, he simply chuckled. "She gave me a call last week, she wanted to check up on you girls."

"After 10 years?" Elizabeth spoke, causing him to be silent. "Father, we aren't children anymore. We aren't just gonna accept her as if she left just yesterday."

"Girls, I'm sorry if I didn't tell you sooner, but she didn't tell me she'd call you." Bartra apologized, making Elizabeth roll her eyes.

"She didn't say anything either when she left 10 years ago, did she?" With that, Elizabeth stomped off and went up her room.

"Elizabeth!"

Elizabeth was mad. These were the rare times that she was mad, usually, she was calm and collected and thought about things rationally.

She dialed Diane's number twice, she didn't pick up. Then again, it was already 11 pm, she could have been asleep. Elizabeth groaned, annoyed. She didn't want to be in the house at the moment, she felt suffocated and she needed air.

Usually, when this happens, Diane would let her come over. But Diane was asleep this time. Elizabeth looked through her contacts and saw Meliodas' contact.

"Should I try to?" She asked herself, then looked around. It was as if she had to, she didn't want to be at home.

So, she did.

"Elizabeth? What's up?" Meliodas asked casually, Elizabeth sighed. "Hey, i'm gonna ask a weird question."

Meliodas suddenly got worried, "What is it?"

"Can I come over? I don't really want to be at home right now. Diane's asleep already and I don't think it's a good idea to just stumble outside her house crying and ruining her night, I know she's my best friend but right now I-I don't know what to do and I don't want to disturb her and maybe I'm disturbing you too, this was a bad idea, you have a sprained ankle and--"

"Elizabeth, come over." Meliodas cut her off. Elizabeth was taken aback by his response. "You can tell me everything later, come over."

"Are you sure? but you can't walk--", "I have Zeldris."

Elizabeth couldn't help but smile a little. "C'mon, get your stuff and I'll have Zeldris get you in 10 minutes."

"Thank you." Elizabeth then ended the call and proceeded to get her black duffle bag and stuffed it with her things that she would need for the night. As soon as she was done, she received a call from Meliodas. "You ready? He's outside in a cab."

Elizabeth then went down stairs to see her sisters in the living room, "I'm going over to a friends house. I'll be back tomorrow."

With no questions asked, she left and saw a cab waiting for her outside their gate. Zeldris could be seen waiting outside the cab, as soon as he saw her, he waved at her with a smile.

"Hey, I'm sorry you had to do this." Elizabeth apologized, Zeldris opened the door for her. "It's okay."

Elizabeth entered the cab and put her things next to her and Zeldris went in as well. "Did Meliodas tell you why I had to be picked up?"

"I was in the room when you called, I didn't hear anything but he seemed worried and panicked." Zeldris told her, Elizabeth rose her brow. "Panicked?"

Zeldris shrugged, "I don't know. But hey, we're near."
