"What happened?" Namjoon's voice echoed in the house the moment he entered it. He was taking a walk in a nearby park to sort out his thoughts and it was nearing an hour when his phone rang loudly in the silence of the dark to be informed that Hoseok had collapsed in the dance room.
"He's sleeping." Namjoon didn't notice Jungkook in the living room until the boy spoke up.
Namjoon sighed "Who found him?"
"Me. It was good I forgot my phone in the practice room. He was dancing when I got there but the moment I spoke to him, he collapsed." Jungkook explained for the fourth time that hour.
The leader brushed his hair back and moved to take a look at Hoseok to see if he's alright but Jungkook stopped him, saying that Sejin had asked their private doctor to check on the dancer to make sure that there is nothing serious wrong with him so he had no choice but take a seat next to the maknae and wait like the other three are doing in one room.
It wasn't long before the doctor came out of the room, followed by Sejin who had a small talk with him in front of the door and thanked him before he left.
Not a minute after that, five worried boys were standing in front the tired manager in the living room, listening to what he had to say.
"He's down with a fever, it isn't serious but the doctor said that he needs to drink more fluids, eat more and rest. He exhausted his body with practice." Sejin was annoyed with Hoseok "You guys are not getting enough food, what did I tell you about skipping meals? Were you practicing without any food in your stomachs this whole time?" He needed answers because he needed to do a better job at taking care of them from all sides.
"We don't skip our meals Hyung-nim. Hobi hyung was actually the one taking care of putting food on the table but...I don't know, he...sometimes didn't eat with us because he says he already had his share while making the food." Namjoon rubbed the back of his head as he looked at anything other than Sejin's eyes. He should have been more clever than this. It was obvious how exhausted Hoseok was becoming the last three days and it was then that he started to eat alone which now turned out to be a lie. He needed to have a talk with him.
Sejin was starting to regret agreeing to Si-hyuk's idea of making them practice to forget because although it was working, it was also starting to have a negative effect on them. Practice ended around 7 at night or sometimes an hour or two earlier like today so what was Hoseok doing there alone four hours later? Everyone knew that dancing is what Hoseok did when he was stressed out but there was always someone next to him to help, not this time though.
"From now on, practice will be reduced to five hours. I don't want to see any of you at the practice room a minute after 3pm and you'll continue to have three meals every day, I'll make sure of that." Sejin turned on his heels, the anger was evident in his face which was in contrast with his soft voice that somehow managed to touch their hearts. Sejin shared their pain, he stopped feeling like he was doing his job properly since the day Seokjin left them, nothing was going right and he was failing to comfort and help the boys but that wasn't going to stop him from trying.
The members were left to look at each other in silence, they didn't know what to say or what to do other than walk to Hoseok's shared room with heavy footsteps and sit around, waiting for him to wake up.
They waited and waited, for hours after midnight, not a word was said. Jimin had fallen asleep on his bed at some point but no one seemed to want to move in the cold to their room, especially Yoongi who found sleeping with Seokjin's missing presence uncomfortable.
Namjoon sighed and looked at the boys, he noticed the tears threatening to drip from Taehyung's eyes but before he could say anything, the boy stood up and left, wanting to hide his tears which were caused by the different thoughts that filled his mind. The leader wanted to follow but a specific dancer had finally opened his eyes, gaining the attention of his friends in the room.
